I assume you me solids? I eat whatever I want but measure it out. I eat a lot of chicken salad with FF mayo. I have not had any problems eating anything as far as keeping it down or getting it down. Just remember to chew, chew, chew!

Congratulations on being banded and your progress so far!

Your band will tell you what it doesn't like as you go along. So far the only thing I can't eat in any way , shape or form is broccoli! My band hates broccoli, but everything else has been fine as long as I chew it really well. When you think you have chewed enough....chew it a little more!! lol I avoid anything greasy or fried since that's what got me in the position in the first place.

Good Luck!!

Hello Nail. You will be fine. You don't have a fill or anything yet do you?

Just take it very slow when you start to see how you tolerate the food. I would go with chicken or fish and make sure it's moist and cut it into very small bites.... Chew chew chew

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
