bennigancat 0 Posted September 13, 2009 I just learned I weigh enough but I'm not sick enough (one comorbidity not two) for my insurance (CIGNA) to pay. I'm determined to get this done. How have some of y'all jumped this hurdle? financing? Where? How long did it take you to raise the money? Do you have any ideas on how to raise the money? Thanks:crying:
123crod 170 Posted September 14, 2009 I used a credit card. I know it is not the best way, but I was ready to do and no insurance. I just pay as much as I can each month on it. Most Dr.'s know a company that will finance.
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted September 14, 2009 Care Credit finances medical procedures. So does Capital One. I used Care Credit. Instant approval online at application. They tell you yes or no and how much they will approve you for.
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted September 14, 2009 Sorry, I couldn't remember the website addy: www.carecredit.com Don't know the one for Capital One but I'm sure you could also Google "medical financing" or something similar.
thinoneday 445 Posted September 14, 2009 Hi, I just applied for a personal loan through the bank for the whole amount. I was approved over the phone at a rate of 3%. . . I would rather pay back the bank any day then credit cards at those horrible percentage rates!
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted September 14, 2009 One thing that might help curb the out-of-pocket. My PCP was behind my choice 100%. So I found out from my surgeon's office what I had to have in the way of tests and my PCP made the referrals to providers under my insurance and got it covered by my insurance. Then I only paid my surgeon his fees.
