maddan 0 Posted September 11, 2009 I was banded yesterday 10/10/09 and have had consistent pain in the abdomen at the incisions and, of course, primarily at the port incision. Just returned home this afternoon and it has been difficult getting in and out of bed without stretching at least some (which is painful). Does anyone know if it is bad to stretch and what can I do to minimize this? I don't want to have to sleep in a chair.
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted September 12, 2009 It's actually good for you to gently stretch and move as normally as you can. As long as you aren't really REALLY vigorous your sutures will be fine. So move and stretch as much as you can. Using a pillow to brace your abdomen will work wonders for the pain, too. The sooner you act and move normally, the sooner you'll feel normal.

I awoke 20 minutes ago and had almost no pain getting out of bed. I think the moving I did yesterday including a long walk with my wife has helped.
