San Antonio for $10,950!!!

I just wanted to let those of you whom are considering Mexico to take a look at this ~ I live in the Dallas area, but I go to San Antonio every few months just for fun, so this is PERFECT! In fact, I'm going for my birthday and they happen to be having a seminar!!

The $10,950 covers the anesthesiologist fees, the center's fees, surgeons fees and 1 night hospital stay. I read on a review of the 2 doctors and someone mentioned that pre-surgery testing can run up to $2000 for the EKG, blood work, etc...and there was some $1800 or so 'Lifetime support' charge. But this is still cheaper than plane tickets to Mexico for me. The doctor's names are Dr. Jorge Rincon and Dr. Paresh Rajajoshiwala.

Hmm...Dr. Raj. sounds familiar to me... please do some research into his background.

I'm just wondering if he ever worked in Houston and did Gastric Bypass...

I had my surgery in Mexico. My doctor was Dr. Joya and this is not a phony post. I actually had a great experience and when I returned to North Carolina for my follow up my doctor was amazed at how text book they did everything. He had no trouble with finding the port and he also commented on how great my scars look. I would go to Dr. Joya again without a second thought.

I went for the first appointment with dR. Raja last week. Email me with any questions you have. I'm cash paying them, surgery is already scheduled for Dec. 26th. Where are you in the big ol state? I'm in Portland, tX.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
