LadyDiMD 0 Posted September 28, 2009 Jeri_Bell...I feel your pain! I was banded in Dec, and they took out my gallbladder at the same time. This saved my life, as they found gallbladder cancer. ( extremely rare). In April, I underwent a liver resection and lymph node removal...good news...cancer has NOT spread! However, in July I developed an abcess along the open suture line. Which ended up infecting my port. So, in Aug I spent 4 days in the hospital, they removed my port which was seeded with MERSA staph. So I am also in recovery, and will most likely be getting a new port in Dec. But, I am cancer free...so removal of the port isn't that much of a deal when you put things in perspective. I will be most interested in hearing how you are coming along with this. ( We can swap war stories! ) Take care & best of luck! Di
