Numero Uno-those pics make me think of one thing...Extreme Makeover time! Good GOD! LOL

Numero Dos-Angela was groping our legs in pic #2 and I am extremely ticklish! LOL She said she was gonna make us laugh so I was expecting it but I am still ticklish, so knowing in advance did not help!

Where do I even begin? What fun we had last night. The joke of the night was macys' shyness. She told me before they got here that she was so shy around new people. Give me a break! LOL They came in and I told them what she said and of course there is not a shy bone in her body...so we joked about how she slowly came out of her shell as the evening progressed. lol She said she is a see-looker and that meant she could see what was happening everywhere...even Egypt.

Anywhoooo....

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and it was fabulous! The company was even better.

Suzanne & Darrell-it was fantastic getting to meet you in person. Funny meeting someone for the very first time and not feeling like a stranger! We loved every minute of it!

Angela-see you again on the toilet paper isle, k?! It was great to see you again. Kinda weird seeing you and actually getting to sit down and not have to get out of the way of the shoppers

Jenn-good morning sista! I miss you so much! Last night i relived alot of our Gruene trip and it made me really miss you guys! I need to make a trip that way, stop to see Suzanne, Tracy, Janie and then come to see you! Wow, that sure sounds like fun! Wow, I could drive to Baton Rouge first to see Cindy :scared2:

I would have to make a trip out west to see Kat & the others. Wow,,,,maybe one day.

Cindy-how are you feeling? I hope 100 times better than last week!

Michelle, Kat, Shar, Debbie, Plain.....hope you all have a great weekend! (why do I feel like I am missing someone)

Tracy, I AM feeling 100 times better, thank you. I am also feeling a little jealous that I never get to see anyone and you and Kat have people close to you. One day I will have to make the 5 hour drive y'alls way (to T & A that is, Kat is so, so far)! It will probably have to wait for a school vacation or something, though. I stay so freaking busy during the school year. I planned until 10:45 last night, drove home, got a little sleep, and I am now going to get ready to leave to go plan some more.

Ya know....I think I probably speak for Angela too....we could surely meet halfway (maybe at a casino :scared2: )

That certainly sounds like something we need to plan! I am gonna go see on google maps what the middle is....i will be right back.

Fast, wasnt I? ....darn the luck  Coushatta in Kinder, LA is about half way. Actually, it is about 3 hours for us and 2 for you. Angela and I were talking about going there together anyway....we would LOVE for you to come meet up with us! I know that dh will wanna go (I can not blame him) but i doubt we bring Macy. What do you ladies think?

Morning!

DD had her first soccer game this AM and she did great! They lost but I don't think the kids were paying attention! LOL!! It's the under 5s so all they're doing is trying to find the ball! Too cute!

Have a great day!

I am pretty sure I can coerce the dh to take me to a casino for a road trip. Right now things are hectic but maybe in about a month it will slow down a little. I would love to meet y'all!

I love to watch little kids play sports. When I was younger, my brother's best friend used to play with his cars in the dirt in the baseline, so his mom started "frisking" him before games looking for his cars!

Well, ladies and Plain, my baby is at her first LSU home game as a student. She has been tailgating since 8 am like a true LSU fan and is sitting behind the goal post, 11 rows up right under the "Golden Band from Tigerland"! She is extremely excited. Let's just hope my beloved Tigers can pull out a win.

 I just lost my post!!

Tracy and Cindy, I would love to go!! That sounds like a blast. Maybe we can set a tenative date so I can attempt to comp a room this time? I don't seem to have a lot of luck with it!

Michelle, how adorable! I would love to see pics. That made me think of when Zach was in t-ball. He loved airplanes and helicopters. His attention span was short and he was a goner if one flew over the field. LOL, good memories!

I hope Suzie and her hubby are enjoying the last leg of their vacation!

Tracy, where the heck did all this rain come from?? We had a 20% chance when I left the house this morning. I just drove down to Palacios through blinding rain both ways. EEK!!

Our bayhouse down there has been prone to roof leaks. Our main roof is shingled and it slopes down to an add-on room that has a metal roof. For a while now we have noticed small leaks that are somewhere near the seam of the two roofs. We have had dang near every guy on the street come by with advice (and some form of tar or repair junk) to help us stop it. We really thought we had it fixed when we left last time, but just for peace of mind I drove down to make sure everything was ok (they have been getting serious rain from all the tropical storms and now Hurricane Karl).

You guessed it, it's still leaking!! :scared2: The sheetrock is wet and the paint is peeling. I cleaned it up as best as I could and put down every trash can and five gallon bucket I could find to catch anything else that may fall.

This is the house that we slaved over during the July 4th holiday...paint, texture, new carpet and linolium. Jeez. All that work...not to mention the money invested. Mike (who is stuck at work during all of this) is calling a professional out to hopefully get it fixed for good.

Anyhow, sorry to whah-whah on you guys. I hope you are having a good one. I think I am going to make some coffee and anchor down on the sofa. Have a good weekend!

Angela

Sure...that's it.

I am sorry you are having the leaky roof problem. I just told hubby and he said you need to get a commercial roofer over there if it continues since you have a transition from shingles to metal. He said most carpenter/roofer guys don't know how to do it correctly, so you get that wind driven rain that blows up in there. It needs some kind of flashing in there to catch the Water. BTW, he has worked as a safety mgr for a commercial roofer for 6 years, so that is why I asked him.

What casino do y'all go to over there? The only casino I usually go to is the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS, so I know NOTHING about the west LA casinos.

Night all

It took me all afternoon and night to get to chpt 17 in my osha course. Tomorrow I'm going to do 2 chpts while I' am drinking my coffee and then going to spend the day working on emt study. then will only have 3 chpts left in the OSHA class. I hope to be done with that tomorrow night if it kills me, which it might.

Monday night is my first EMT test and then I can focus just on EMT and FD stuff and I can focus on 1 thing.

I'm way freaked about my test monday. I'm tired of feeling lazy by sitting and studying and I need to lose some weight

i'm such a fat ass again, so i'll eat some more Cookies

have a good night all

Good Morning

LOL - after I ate 1/2 box of Cookies I passed out, then my dd who I did not want to her friends house last night but went anyway, called at 11:30 and woke me up because she didn't have an inhaler and couldn't breathe. and I've been up for an hour. Its all good.

I'm hanging drinking coffee working on class already again. It is going to be a long day but I'll be done tonight with catch up and final for my OSHA.

Anyone up to anything good today???

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
