A couple of times yesterday I had problems getting on LBT.

Hubby and I are off to the gym. I need to get this soreness worked out of the back of my legs and hips. But the backyard is starting to look good, lol.

Suzanne-is it POOL time yet??

Good morning everyone!!!

Forgive me Father for I have sinned....I ate 2 WW ice creams last night instead of one. Those things are TOO good and I realized it is a danger for them to be in my house. They are the chocolate ones on a stick with chocolate crumbs on them. Oh my

Jennifer Update....

I got an e-mail from Jenn and she said to tell you all hello. She said she is doing good and misses all of us and she will be on Saturday to catch up on posts.

Cindy-When is Alex graduation day? I'll bet she is SO excited! Good for you about not having to worry anymore. Did you think the asst principal would NOT love you? Have you been a bad girl? Anything fun planned for the summer?

Kat-so how did Conners game go? Was the big shocking announcement made? lol

Michelle-how you doing girlie? Recovering quickly I hope!

Mexican food....omg my weakness. Our fav place really needs to shut down or lock its doors to me or somethng if I am going to be able to pull off this weightloss. It is out of this world. It is called Don'Key and it was just voted #1 in the Houston area for the best Margis. I think it is the best food too.

So, i need to get macy to school.

I wonder how Jolly is doing....I miss her.

Irene...can I get a holla?

:( hi & bye to everyone and have a healthy day!

Tracy, don't close down that restaurant till after we visit this Sept. You and me and Margi, Oh Yea.

Last night before I went to bed I decided since I had done so much yardwork that I would take a Vicodin, ok so I took 2. Not that I slept any better but I was feeling good when I hit the gym. Yup, you guessed it, I had to reign myself in on the treadmill and bike. I really worked it out and had to remind myself that I better no over do it or I'll pay for it also.

Poor Jenn, I hope she is taking care of herself. But I'm glad to know that she is doing good and is working.

Morning!

Doin' okay. Feeling pretty good. Pretty much off the pain meds except for at night but I'm going to try without tonight. Should be fine.

Everyone sounds busy.

Tracy, thanks for letting us know about Jenn. Miss her! Your feelings re: the WW bars are how I feel about Cheetos and now Cheezit crackers. I can not have them in the house or I will eat them... ALL!!! If I want them bad enough, I buy a small bag of them.

Suzanne, yard sounds nice. Neighbor sounds scary.

Kat, well, did you get THE announcement last night? How'd the game go?

Cindy, glad the review went well. Knew it would! So exciting for Alex. What a great time in her life!

Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

No major announcement, but we were the only ones who went, at the game DIL was whispering with his Mom about some get together they are having with them.....I swear they act like they are in Jr. High!!

Anyway game went great, the kids are improving. Sadly they do not have much parent participation, and it shows. The other team had parents everywhere, and their kids kicked butt! They paid attention, and knew where to throw the ball etc.

Our kids, have worked you can tell, they are most of them hitting the thrown ball now as opposed to hitting it off of a T. And most of them run the right direction, most of the time!! LOL. Connor knows how to position himself, and he does pretty good, but he gets distracted and there is no one to keep him focused. The boy is gonna be good tho! He can whack that ball, and when the time to throw it comes, once he decided he will throw it he can wing it pretty good!!

Fun as heck to watch! Love them so much. Sitting out at the ice cream place, Garrick is on the table eating ice cream and everything you say to him he shakes his head NO! He is so doggone cute!!!

Went to lunch with Marie after working today. Was SOOOO good to catch up with her! Now tho she is leaving for 2 weeks, come the end of the month, and when she gets back, we will be leaving for TX---so we can lunch next week, then we will have a dry spell!!!

Fixed Rick and my brother stuffed sopapillas for Cinco De mayo today. Rick is putting new leaf springs on my brothers truck....you know he has only been working since 6 this morning. He doesn't mind nearly as much as I do!!! LOL

Glad you are doing well Michelle, I am proud of you for trying so hard to behave!!!

I have never tried the WW bars Tracy, I eat some ice cream, but try to make myself put it in a cone, I eat less!!!

Thanks for the Jenn update.

Not sure what happen to Jolly, she was working so hard on blankets.....then poof was gone!

Suzie, you are going to be miserable if you overworked your overworked body girl!!! LOL 2 Vicodan, and you would not revive me for days!!!

Cindy enjoy graduation!! Take lots of pics! The Dollar store here has lots of really cute graduation party things.

Well here come the guys---better go see whats up, it usually means an Auto Zone run for me!!! LOL

Morning Girls.

Tracy, do you want to go to my Doc appointment with me? I went to my regular Doc and he sent me on to the Orthopedic Doc to see what the issue is with my hip. It kills me in bed at night and has also prevented me from doing my walking. I hope I am able to explain it to him so that he understands. But it sure does feel like bone-bone. Maybe I have a bone spur. My appointment is at 11am.

Last night at work a call came in for a Body Bag delivery. Can you believe that no one wanted to go get it and take it to the floor. They asked me and were surprized when I said I would take it. They looked at me like I had lost my mind. I had no issue with it. Now had they asked me to help them fill it I would have had an issue with that. All worked out and I never even seen the body while I was there.

Very busy day here today. It's our Family monthly Breakfast, than the Doc's, than I work my shift and leave right after for my Women'sministry meeting. It'll be around 9pm by the time I get home. I'll be pooped.

The last 3 days have not been real good eating days for me. I need to get my head back in the game again.

Have a great day.

Home again!

I am enjoying the working. Lots of fun people come in....also some jerks, but no one stays long, so I get rid of them quickly, and if they get to be big jerks I get a clerk to deal with them!! Has not happen yet. Although one man got mad at me for telling him he could not tell his wife who to vote for! He yelled---and was like 5 feet away--Emma you be sure to vote for Kokesh like I told you, I don't care what the paper said, we want Kokesh. I nicely told him "sir we cannot discuss candidates here in the voting area, and you cannot tell someone else how to cast their vote it isn't allowed" He worked his lips around a few times, and then told me he had been married for 48 years which is longer than I have been alive (wanted to thank him for the compliment, but didn't), and when they got married, in church in front of GOD she promised to obey him, and by GOD she does, and that carries a much higher level of law than what someone told me could not be done in a stupid room in a courthouse! I was unsure whether to push it, there were no other voters in the room, because I did not want to make the womans life miserable.....but he was an ass! So he tells me, I suppose my looking over her ballot is not allowed either? I told him no it was not, and if he wanted to speak to the County Clerk, I would be glad to get her. He mumbled something about another damn woman, and walked out....leaving his ballot in the marking booth, not counted. I went after him and told him he HAS to insert it himself, if he leaves it, we destroy it, and his vote has not been counted. He kept walking, and while all this is going on, his wife, did her voting, inserted it to be counted, he come in, told her to get the hell out of the way, and shoved his in the machine. Poor woman! But she put up with him for damn near 50 years, she has a problem too!!!

Not much planned for today, Rick is going to put the last bolt in my brothers truck he fixed---the box was one short, so he made do, and is bringing one home to fix it right tonight.

Making chicken pot pie for dinner tonight, had leftover chicken, so have some veggies on cooking now.

Think it is time for some diet Dr. Pepper.....will check in with all of you later!

Suzanne-i wish i could go with you to your appt! Let us know how it goes.

Kat-I hope the woman got in her stall and voted the other way on purpose just to spite her husband. Just for a little self satisfaction!

I need a treadmill.....in the worst way! *sigh*

Kat, hopefully you won't have to deal with any more jackasses like that! Ugh, that is awful.

Suzie, I am glad that didn't ask you to fill the bag, too!

Tracy, I have a membership to a gym and I haven't been in 2 weeks....i feel like such a slug:unsure:

Michelle: how is the recovery going?

Kat, that guy was a jerk. And how sad that his wife has put up with him for that long.

Tracy, Do you have sidewalks there? That is where I do most of my walking.

Home and very tired. The Doc has ordered an MRI and X-Rays. I have an appointment for next Tuesday at the hospital for that. Till then he doesn't want me doing any squats or uphill walking. He higly recommends swimming, both hubby and I laughed. Told him that we will be opening it next weekend.

Hubby just came out and told me I don't need to go to the gym in the morning, he's so sweet. But I will go anyway. I'll juust do what the Doc wants me to do.

Hi, just a quick post. I'm exhausted and headed to bed soon. We just got home.

We were at the grocery store today when I almost passed out. Sitting for a good while with my head down did nothing. DH called an ambulance and they took me down the hill to the hospital.

Couldn't find a reason for it but they did discover the beginnings of a UTI so I cam home with Cipro, I know it's spelled wrong but I don't care right now.

Prayers please, that I don't EVER do this again!

My poor DD was so upset and now she has banned me from ever going in an ambulance, to the hospital or sitting down at the blood pressure machine! In fact, right before she fell asleep she even told me I had to stay home and not ever go to the grocery store! Poor baby! I put her in our bed b/c she was going to end up there any way after a day like this.

'Night y'all. I am okay and I'll see ya Friday sometime!

Oh Michelle!! I am glad to hear that it wasn't anything major! I am also glad they caught the UTI early...those can be horrible. Poor babygirl, I know she must have been so worried about her mama! Keep in touch and let us know how you are. Take it EASY!

Suzanne-yes we have sidewalks in our neighborhood. I wish I had a big dog to bring with me. Now that you mention it, we have a walking trail by dd school around the corner...thats a thought. Still would like a treadmill to walk in the AC  The humidity here is a killer!

Macy got some new sundresses from her mawmaw and pop. I posted pics on FB. She had to do a fashion show for me, lol. I am struggling with myself over getting her hair cut or letting it grow. She has never had really LONG hair....but she looks WAY cute with really short hair. I think with the summer coming I will get it whacked off. She wants to get it all cut off. She is so tender headed that she hates when i brush her hair. So, this weekend I will get it cut.

I am doing OK with my eating. I have been doing really well until night time. The worst possible time to eat. Thank goodness I only have healthy stuff here but that can be overeaten as well. I just need to be more firm with myself.

Have a good day everyone!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
