Saturday morning and I'm finishing my hot cocoa so I can go get ready to go to work. yuck.

Went to bed real early last night and got a good nights sleep. I wasn't feeling real good and the Doctor said that yesterday. She said I might experience some cramping and discomfort. So I turned up my electric blanket and crawled in.

Have a great day.

hi everyone!

Thank you all for the great b-day wishes! It ended up just being another day. Long story so I will spare you all. Anyway, I could not/can't taste anything, so I guess on the weight loss front that is a good thing but it would have been nice, ya know? But I do have one thing to show for it....I am another year older, lol!

My sister is coming to get macy this morning so maybe I can salvage my b-day and go to the movies or something. I still have hope  I will make my OWN hapiness.

Have a great day ladies!

I'm here.......

Rick left this morning about 3:15 AM, in the middle of one hellacious snow storm. He is headed into Colorado, into an even worse storm. He is having to take the crew several hundred miles out of the way to avoid mountain passes that are either closed due to weather, or that do not allow semi fleets. So he is due to make it in to location any time now, he said the roads have been trecherous. He will be gone at least a week, possibly more.

It is still snowing hard here---white everywhere!

We knew the storm was due to hit, and he was leaving, so we spent yesterday working to prep things. Got the wood splitter going, and split a cord and a half of wood. And I hurt myself. I picked up a big log, and I think I pulled a stitch on my band----not sure. It is NOT interfering with my digestion in any way. But it hurts. To breath deep and put pressure on it hurts. Laying on my side hurts. It scares me! So today, I am being very still, and doing nothing much. Want it to be better!!!

After that we got our chimney swept out, and did Rick's parents again as well. Neither one really needed it he said, but with him leaving and a storm hitting, he felt better knowing they were ok.

Went to lunch with my parents yesterday, took Connor with us, and then just vegged on the couch together watching the Olympics for me, and Rick watched the inside of his eyelids.....he worked hard!!! And he had to leave early. So I just sat there and soaked it up.

I am going to dig through some books, and movies, and find something semi healthy to cook up so I don't have to cook often, or go anywhere, and just hole up. It is seriously snowing hard out there. YUCK!

On a positive note, the maple trees in our yard, have buds!!! So I threw crystals down the sewer line!! Nice info huh!!!??? Every year the roots, cause us problems, so when I noticed the growth activity I was proactive, and so proud of myself!!!

Hopefully that means summer will be coming.

Not going to do my elliptical today.....not doing anything much to stretch my belly area. I want it better!

Will be back......and will see most of you on Facebook as well, for those of you not there, C'mon!!! If you need contact info let me know!

Morning Girls. I'm finally checking in.

All is fine here. Just cold and some ice and snow. Schools aren't closed so I have to go into work.

I'm really thinking that when I get off work that I will head over to WW's and join. They are still having free joining so that might be part of my inspiration. I'm hoping this will help me get back on track also.

Worked on the last of the quilt yesterday and got it finished. I'll turn it in soon and I think I'll try to get one more done. That will be it because then I have to get started on my next project. I'm doing a counted cross stitch for my niece's wedding.

Made some chicken noodle Soup yesterday and couldn't stay out of it. I think I ended up having 3 bowls thru the day. It tasted so good. Lots of veggies in it. Yummy.

Kat, hope Rick stays safe on his work outing.

I'll check in later. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Crap, crap.

I get up, come out and turn the TV on and check the school closings. Nope, I have to go into work. So I go in take a shower, come out feed the cats, fix my hot cocoa. Check in, sitting here waiting to go dry my hair and they finally announce that schools are closed. Why couldn't they have said that 45 minutes ago, I could have went back to bed. Oh well, I'll take it anyway.

So you guys have me today till it's time for my Do appointment at 1 and my Dentist appointment at 1:45.

Hi everyone!

Suzanne, that is my luck...be all ready to go out the door, then WHAMMO, no work. But better late than never, right?

Kat-that sucks that Rick has to travel in such horrendous conditions. That is the oilfield for you, those workers never stop. When I was working, it was 24/7. The oilfield doesnt shut down....well, unless there is a hurricane, but that is about it. Are you all bundles up? I would be! Have you had any more trespassers? I still can not get over the BOO comment! yikes.

Jenn-what are you doing lady? what is on your agenda for today?

Cindy-how are you feeling? any better? I can finally after 8 days, kind of taste things again. Kind of...

I wonder where Jolly is? I am sure she is busy busy busy this time of year!

I cant help but wonder how tweety is doing with her band....

Michelle-what kind of bed did you get? I have been having back & hip aches and pains the past few days really bad. I have had to take a pain pill almost daily and I can normally control it with tylenol or advil. Not anymore. Maybe I can get a new bed? lol Doubt it!

Hello everyone else :frown:

I need to get some housework done before the kids get here. Have a great Monday everyone!!

If you are going to do Day care of any type, plan on being sick with cold junk for a couple of years straight!!!

But the advantage to that, is that now, with grandkids, they get sick, they give it to Rick, and I stay well, I have had that particular strain, and am immune, I occasionally get sick, but nothing like most people!

I thought someone was still messing in the back yard Tracy, now I think it might have been the cats jumping off my lawn swing. Now there is enough snow out there again, I will be able to tell, not much hiding footprints!!

It snowed off and on all day yesterday, and over night. Wet, heavy snow, with fairly high temps, so it is melting into a slushy mess on the roads, but it is too bad yet. The big storm is due to hit over later today and tonight, is sitting in Arizonza right now. So thinking about getting Kinsey and I dressed and running to Walmart, then just holing up!!! But she is not wanting to go, she wants to lay on the couch! Manda is only going to work to conduct a meeting, then coming home---so since Kinsey was kinda whiny and stuffy, she is with me instead of at day care, pre school was cancelled...all school here was.

She got here, wanted pancakes, ate a few bites and was done. But Granny ate her whole pancake of course! And it is morning, so not going down easy. All that sick sweet stuff is sitting heavy in my stomach.

I still hurt this morning. Not sure what I pulled, but it is getting better, just slowly. Still no digestion issues, so it is just minor, but painful.

I love our bed. It is a standard one side pillow top, we can spin it, but not flip it. We have had it for 7 or 8 years. I love it! Like I said tho, I make a virtual nest in our bed!! I don't like satin sheets, but I love silky soft ones---high thread count, with lots of pillows, and snuggly blankets. With Rick gone, I wake up, and half the bed is still made. When I go to sleep, I don't move around much I guess!! When he is here, we don't snuggle up so much to sleep, but we always touch. Whether it is holding hands, or butt to butt, we always touch. So it is weird getting used to sleeping alone. I many days go back to bed after he leaves, so am somewhat used to it. But relaxing at night is really hard.

He siad the weather there is similar to here, except they have minimally 16" of snow on the ground and more to come.

He said the facility manager, come out to talk to him, which is surprising, with the size of the facility. Told him getting the entire convoy there in that weather, without issue spoke really highly of the mechanics in Farmington! More praise than they ever get here! He called and told EVERY one of them individually. Because he knew if he ask the local boss to spread the word, it would not happen. Moral here is pathetic. Work is supposed to be picking up, but the weather is kicking them back down. There is work to be done, but no way to get to the locations, because the mud is too deep. Just when it began drying up, this storm hit. So they are going into a temporary layoff this week.

Rick got a call offering him an excellent job. Awesome pay, housing provided, all kinds of perks.....in Australia! No thanks!

Ooooh pancakes...........yuck.

Going to go move around a bit and see if they will move around a bit!!

Talk to y'all later!!

Hey ya'll

Tracy - did you get my card? xoxoxo Hope you had a good birthday weekend.

Thisng have been kind of out of control lately - long drawn out story not worth talking about, just been kind of crazy and I honestly can't see past the tip of my nose so its been really hard for me to use my computer. I hope my glasses come in soon, they said 7-10 days, tomorrow will be a week. Hope they get here.

My eyes hurt so badly trying to focus I wish I Could pry them out of my head.

just picked up my daughter and she is eating lunch and then to the dentist to adjust her braces.

I have family court with the dick head on Friday morning, so not really looking forward to this week

Back from my outing. Good news from the Doc. He took me off one of my Diabetes meds. That's off 2 and 1 more to go. He also took me off of one other one. That puts me at just 2 meds a day now. Woot Woot.

While I was in the Docs office my hone rang and it was the Dentist office wanting to know where I was. LOL. Seems they told me the wrong time. I said I would be there just as soon as I finished with the Doc. So I make it over to there and he said he could fix the filling in a jiff. Ya know when they say that you should always be prepared. It ended up being a little bit more than that. So I'm back to normal now. lol.

Well it was 3 o'clock by the time we got out and hubby said lets go to SidePockets and play some pool and get some lunch. We had a really good time and enjoy the relaxation.

Now it's Jammy time and Olympics and off to bed early.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
