Good morning ladies~

I am so ready for today. Peace, & quiet. DH is @ work and the kids will be at school! :w00t: I am going to sit here and listen to the quiet! lol

My sinuses have been horrible for the past few days. My dr prescribed me some allergy meds that the insurance doesnt pay for so now we have to wait and see if they can get us something else.

I gotta run so I can get macy ready.

I am gonna web surf later for coupons

Woke up to snow on the ground. Not a whole lot but enough to make people stupid when they drive. And now I have to get out in it.

Sis has a Doc appointment in an hour and Hubby's is in 2 hours.

Price Chopper has turkeys for 40cents a pound. What do your store have?

Be back soon.

hi guys

Tracy - what did dr give you? Wally world has their brand of claridon and zyrtec way cheap and works just as well.

Suzanne - we have Price Chopper too, going to check into that! Maybe I'll get 2 to have one in the freezer

Walk was only 2.5 miles today, my stomach is kind of a mess today. Going to have Breakfast, shower and maybe hit the gym for some weights. Going to get some paperwork done today and get myself ready for my hike

have a fantastic day

I look through the coupons, and used to use them quite a bit. I had a file for them, all that! Now, I just kind of match up the ad in the paper for what is on sale, and what I have a coupon for, and make my list on junk mail envelopes, and stick the coupons in the envelope. I always took the file, but seldom strayed from my list.

Now, we have Safeway here in town, and they have the customer card things. On their website, you can go through and load the coupons onto your card, then when it scans it automatically uses the coupon--and it works!

The other concession I make, that irritates my DH, is there are a couple of big stores in the town we shop in that are totally inconvenient, across town. So I make the list of what they have on sale I want, and have Walmart price match them--then using the coupons, it makes it easier on me than running all around. DH does not like shopping at Walmart, but he is reasonable and can see for himself the price difference. We have certain things we buy in certain stores. I only buy fresh meat at Safeway, Walmart does not compare. That kind of thing. I have not done real shopping and comparing since I went to work....I am looking forward to it again!

Gonna go call my Mom and just chat, because I can.

Talk to you all in awhile. Feels really cold again this morning.....15 now at 8:17.

Back from Sisters appointment and had enough time to take Hubby to his appointment. He's had shoulder issues for a long time and the Ortho-Doc sent him for rehab. Well rehab is done and over and he's only slightly better. Doc said he could do a cortizone shot. But they decided to take time and see how it goes.

I did go to Price Chopper and I bought a 10 pound turkey. I thought even when the sale ads come out today that if they have them any cheaper, that I could still buy 1 or 2 and than take one to church to donate to the pantry. Funny things is, we may not even be home for Thanksgiving.

I talked to my cousin and asked her what they were doing. Her Mom was my best friend that passed away last April. She said that her and her Dad were probably going to go to the casino for the buffet and wanted to know if we wanted to go. I told her let me talk with hubby and find out. So far it's 3 of us for it but my younger Sis and BIL don't have the money to go. Looks like either way we will end up footing the bill for the holiday.

So nice to see Kat's name down there. HI Kat. Missed you alot.

Coupons? Did someone say coupons? I am new in the coupon world but I saved 25 bucks on our grocery bill today and felt like I had conquered the world! I am SO proud of myself. Any hints on where I can get some would be greatly appreciated. I already use coupons.com but that is it. Any advice?

I don’t know about anyone else, but I really do love clipping coupons. You are so right Tracy, you can really save a lot. I find mine in the Sunday Paper, or sometimes what you might think are crap ads in your mailbox. I always find coupons in there.

I find a lot in my boxes of food too, if I look hard enough. One time I found some coupons for my EAS Myoplex... it was great!!

I don’t typically waste my time on the 25C here or 50C there for 2 or more or whatever. Unless it’s something I really need. Then and only then. I usually find great deals on coupons, then I check the Sunday Paper ads to find out where it’s on $ale. That’s some good shopping for cheap, cheap cheap!!

I would love to be able to use coupons, but most of them I come across is for stuff I don't use. Now if they had some for fresh produce, and meat, I would be in heaven.

I do shop 2 stores for the small amount of prepackages stuff, and it is worth it, I usually save 75-100 a month depending on how lazy I feel like being as far as homemade everything. I save $7 alone on my son's individual size pizza he likes to have

Suzanne - You are a very kind soul. That just pretty much says it all.

I'm off to eat lunch

talk to you all in a bit

I use coupons when I find them for stuff I but. I won't buy things just because I have a coupon for it. Why buy a Jumbo box of Cheez-it's, I would just end up eating the whole box. Probably in one day. lol. And I haven't figured out how to use on-line coupons yet. Guess I'll have to spend more time trying.

I checked the ads that just got delivered and 40 cents a pound is the going rate for turkey here.

For anyone with a Safeway (or Von’s) nearby… Turkey’s are about 7 bucks!

I'm doing the 3 day LA Weightloss jump start diet.

all day you can have unlimited

green veggies

chicken

and 3 oranges a day

lemon and balasamic vinegar are ok, with any free spices so I've been cooking chickn, spinach with lemon and garlic. I have been cooking chicken in small pcs and put fresh lemon juice on it, helps keep it tender. and NEVER OVERCOOK.

hey 6lbs in 2 days, I might do it until Saturday just to keep down, have a party to go to and it is going to be tryng... food... and booze!

That sounds like a pretty good plan. I eat chicken all the time anyway. It might be a good first week booster. I’ve had plenty of those anyway…

You should do it. have to make sure to get your Water in too.

The hard part for me is the no dairy, I put cheese or sour cream in everything. I don't gain from it, but stopped loosing.

Spray in the pan, no olive oil... stuff like that.

I'll let you know how I do tomorrow, at noon I weighed the same as I did at 5am, so I'll take that as a good sign

Oh wow… no dairy? That really would be tough for me. Not going to lie.

Definitely let me know how you do! I think I might have lost a pound myself… however it’s not official weigh day until Saturday. Another boost though would be great!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
