I haven't had any sort of bowel movement since Thursday morning. I kind of miss it! Is that weird?

Down 11 pounds total. 89 to goal. 11% done! I wish I had a faster download speed... haha. Geek alert.

I'm at work this morning, but I think I'm going to have to leave early. I don't feel well at all...my jeans are still too tight over my swollen stomach, even though they fit perfectly 11 pounds ago. I just want to wear sweats to work :tongue2:

I know what you mean Heidi. I didn't think it would come off so easily. I hope it continues.

The past couple of days I've lost 2 pounds each day, but I know it will slow up soon. It's a good motivator to stick to my liquid diet, though! I've moved on from Clear Liquids to thin liquids, which means I can have a watered down Protein Shake. Mmm, Protein, how I've missed you!

So I got banded on the 4 th of November. I am almost feeling as if nothing was done, other than the excrutiating gas pains. I am 3-4 weeks post op and have only lost 5lbs. my liquid , my soft , were only 1 week each. and now I am eating solids with little to no problem. I am feeling very discouraged. Does anyone have any advise or have you experienced the same? My first fill is supposed to be in 3 weeks, I can't wait. What till then? :w00t:

Why don't you give your doctor a call? Maybe they will push up your fill appointment. Did you lose a lot of weight on a pre-opt diet? I'm just asking because sometimes those who lose a lot of weight before surgery don't lose as much after. It's like any diet you start, initially you lose more weight than later on. Good luck. I hope things go better for you.

Before I started regular food I was losing a pound a day and then I was afraid once I ate real food that would slow down. Well it did, but only slightly. I think it is important not to stay too low on the calories too, so maybe when I started foods it was a good thing. I guess I worried for nothing. Now I'm adding some exercise into the picture, slowly though as I'm pretty arthritic. Keep up the good work!:w00t:

Ok I'm two weeks out. Everything appears to be healing good but port area still very sore. Something weird though... Can anyone see their port? I can see the shape of it under my skin. I'm wondering if anybody else and see theirs?

rollinmyway and Heidi05- My port is sore and hurts like heck!! very uncomfortable sleeping. I have a cold so everytime I sneeze it burns. I understand this is normal and it takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks until you fully heal.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
