bayba792 0 Posted December 4, 2009 How are you guys doing with your energy level? Mine seems shot! I get tired so quickly and need to stop and rest. Soexcited I was feeling very tired all the time also, and my friend who had gastric told me she felt the same after her surgery and found out she wasn't getting enough Protein, so I took her advice and started sipping protien shakes mixed with Water throughout the day and felt really good like the next day. My doctor said it is really important to try and get my 60 grms of protein a day.
Soexcited 64 Posted December 5, 2009 OK well thats not it because my Protein intake is between 80 & 100g a day I try to do very well with that....its all Liquid Protein mind you, I dont start mushies till this Tuesday.

melloways 0 Posted December 5, 2009 @ soexcited. You will feel much better once you begin mushy food. I felt icky on liquids too. Just make sure you take your Vitamins and if you have a problem with anemia, take extra Iron.< /p>
Soexcited 64 Posted December 5, 2009 mello...remind me of your surgery date again? I know you went before me just dont remember when. I finally had a good nights sleep last night...I havent been sleeping the best so maybe that will start to help with the energy. I am thinking I will ask my doc on Monday if I can start Mushies a day sooner and see what he says. I'd KILL for a scrambled egg right now. And whats odd is that I have been on liquids for almost 2 weeks now and have lost no more weight?????????????????

I also had problems with sleep because I couldn't get comfortable. I was able to sleep on my stomach last night for the first time and I slept like a baby. I had to use sleeping pills a few times while recovering.
