Congratulations on the 30 lbs. loss and the 1 size down. Focus on the positive fact that you have not gained any weight nor have you gone up a size. You're doing great, so keep up the good work and enjoy the journey.

I've lost about the same and have seen the same result down a full size top and bottom...I WANT MORE, at least to lose three more sizes.

I'm down about 25 pounds, and haven't dropped a size yet. BUT, I also realize that I was squeezing myself into this size, and now, they're fitting much more comfortably. So really, in essence, I have dropped a size if I would have not been wearing my clothes so tight! Maybe your clothes are fitting much looser, too!

I have lost 30 lbs and haven't gone down in size at all. But everything is very loose I just can't quite get into a smaller size yet. I can not complain though it is 30 lbs. That is enough for me...at this point. I wouldn't care if I never dropped another size as long as I lost weight!

Yea they do feel looser so that's great. I'll be really excited when I drop a whole size though. I think I am still swollen from surgery so my tight pants are still tight lol.

I am down 23 lbs and one size. I think as we start to exercise and gain more muscle we will lose more inches rather than lbs. which will mean more sizes. Atleast that is what has happened to me in the past.

30 lbs is great, and you are 1/3 to your goal!! Congratulations!!:blushing:

I also have lost 30 pounds and am down one size, but like others have said...my previous clothes were pretty tight before surgery, ok they were REALLY tight! :blushing:

I am down 27.4 pounds and haven't gone down a size but my clothes are far more comfortable.

Keep your eye on your goal and don't let any negative thoughts enter your head. Be happy for the one size and look positive towards the next downsizing.

I have lost about 46lbs, and I have only gone down one size in pants, havent tried on smaller shirt yet, however I have been noticing that my bras fit better, so maybe i was wearing the wrong size all along....interesting, but LOVING IT!!! And looking forward to dropping quite a bit more!!!

I have lost 35 lbs, and found that like, most of youl, some of my clothes fit more comfortable and some clothes that I could not fit, I can now wear.

Nobody is saying how tall they are--I'm 5'2", from reading different threads on here, it seems the shorter you are the slower the sizes start to go down.

Everyone is built differently, my ass & thighs are smaller but not so much in the waist.

Congrats on the 30lb loss!

Thanks everyone for your replys.......thought I should be down at least 2 sizes, but I gues I am pretty must on track.

I am 5 ft 5....also i was banded in April.......it seems most of you have been banded in June....But I did have a set back and was unfilled for 6 weeks, so I guess I am doing well.

Question??? Is everyone exercising??? I am so bad just can not get motivated..bad bad bad!! I need a good talking to!

I exercise 4-5 days a week. Start slowly and you'll find that you do enjoy it. Especially when the inches start to fly off but they won't if you don't do your part. I walk to the gym and do the elliptical for 30 minutes then my treat is the sauna or steam room. And do not eat the calories you burn. Don't think it is a free ride to eat an extra 300 or 400 calories. I eat ice cream but only when I save my calories.(It is carb free, low cal, and basically sugar free.) Exercise is your part. The way I look at the band is that there are 3 parts. 1. The band, 2. diet, 3. exercise that means 2/3's of the work is on us. The band can only do so much. So get out and move you will find that it goes by very fast and you may even enjoy it! And if you don't still do it this is your new life!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
