By the way I only do elliptical and walking because I haven't gotten complete clearance from my doc. But at this point I probably can I just want to see him first and make sure everything is as it should be.(I see him next week) Being that you had your surgery some time ago you could also lift weights or sit ups in front of the tv!

I've only lost about 15 pds, and my clothes are big. I also brought a pair of pants, size 16, when i still have size 20 that i still wear, and this is with a small amount of weight lost. Whats really going on? I was banded 8-17-09 with no fill yet until 9-17-09.

Hi friends,

same here...I've lost about 30ish pounds. My weight's fluctuated up a few and then down a few, but no real progress in the last few weeks.

I'm wearing the same clothes (same size) but the clothes definitely fit differently. I've lost the most in the top area

And, since my 3x clothes were too tight before, it is good that they are hanging on me now!

Can't wait to actually NEED to buy new clothes!!

ps. Have you all noticed that our clothes get longer as we lose?? My Big Mama peasant tops come way down my legs now, and last year's work pants almost drag the ground!! It kind of makes me not want to move on to the smaller size now that my body doesn't look like it is holding its breath about to POP!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
