I have been interested in the lap-band for years but my insurance would not cover it until I was on their insurance for two years. I now qualify for it, so I am just getting started in the process. I have pretty much everything scheduled as far as the work-up between now and the end of October. My final appointment with the surgeon is October 29th, which also happens to be my birthday! LOL. I am probably looking at a surgery date in early to mid November... It seems so far away right now, but I know it will go by in the blink of an eye! I have been spending a lot of time looking at these posts so I know what to expect and also for some extra inspiration, so I finally decided to register myself so I could interact! 123crod 170 Posted September 11, 2009 Hit Janelle! I was self pay so I did not have to wait. But For me I would have waited two years. I think it is so worth it. My insurance wouldn't cover me unless I waited too...didn't want to wait so self pay!! Happy early birthday and this will make you have many more of them to look forward too!
