When did they start to notice?

At what point in your weight loss did people start noticing your body changing? I know it depends on your weight and height but I am curious!

At what point in your weight loss did people start noticing your body changing? I know it depends on your weight and height but I am curious!

To date, I have lost 30 lbs. So far, the people who are close to me have noticed. My husband, a good girlfriend at work, my parents. Others, have not said if they have noticed.

I think it may be a case of not sure what to say.....if they have noticed and have not said anything.

PLUS - even thought I have lost 30 lbs, I am wearing the same close. I will admit they are loose, but I was overstuffing myself into them at the end. So, I think it will be more "noticable" when I change my wardrob a bit.

I have lost 14kg (30.8lb).The only person who knows I am banded is my DH.Oh plus my surgeon, support group etc.

I have one friend that I see every week and she started commenting way back at the beginning. I have another friend that I see fairly regularly and every time she sees me she asks how much weight I have lost. Then I have a group of friends that i don't see as often. They haven't commented at all and you would think that as I don't see them that often the loss would be more noticeable!

My daughter came home from uni last week and asked if I was still on my diet! I was quite dissappointed as I would have thought she would have noticed how much I have lost.

So it seems everyone is different.

People (esp. my family) started to notice almost immediately. Especially in my face. I've lost about 55 pounds, but its hard for me to see it when I look in the mirror. I'm sure I will be able to see it after the next 50.

I've lost a little over 50 pounds and the only people that have seemed to notice are family members. I haven't even really noticed. I think my face is starting to look a little thinner but that's about it. I've only gone down one size (starting on a second), and I'm losing weight in my legs, not my stomach. Figures. So the legs of my pants are getting loose and not much else.

I figure either people just haven't noticed because I have so much more to loose, or they don't want to comment and risk maybe being rude or embarrassing me? I dunno. I'd almost just prefer they not say much!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
