Rutiglius 0 Posted September 8, 2009 I am really getting bored with walking, the treadmill and elliptical. I have been thinking about getting a Wii and trying the Wii Fit and the Wii Personal Trainer. Has anyone tried them and if so, what do you think?
Blaze21 5 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) I have the ea sports active personal trainer. It offers a variety of exercises at different levels of intensity. There's something for everyone. Edited September 8, 2009 by blaze21

AggiePaige 8 Posted September 8, 2009 The Wii Fit ROCKS!!!! It is so much fun and you don't realize how hard you are working until you stop and realize you're drenched with sweat, or the next day and you are sore! I am so glad I got it!
Decolady 0 Posted September 8, 2009 I have the Wii Fit and I find I keep doing the same things over and over....does anyone have Dance Dance Revolution? I enjoy dancing, I am wondering if this would be a better workout for me. THANKS Deb
Rutiglius 0 Posted September 9, 2009 Thanks for all your input. I am seriously considering the Wii, but have put it off. I might go get one this weekend!
AirKuhl 1 Posted September 11, 2009 YES!!!! The Wii got me off the couch and to a point where I could walk into a gym and start working out. It was a GREAT "phase 1". Highly recommended.

Rutiglius 0 Posted September 12, 2009 It looks like the sports trainer might have more in the way of intensity?
should_be_working 0 Posted September 13, 2009 Decolady, I have DDR and I love it! It's an amazing workout and so much fun. I just wish I had more control over the type of music. It's definitely high impact so if you have bad knees or ankles, it might not be the best choice. Also, you'll want a better dance pad than the flimsy one that generally comes with the game. BgB9 9 Posted September 18, 2009 I liked the Wii Fit, but as much as I liked that I LOVE Wii Active. It lets you vary your program quite a bit and is very encouraging. I just got it to see if I could get back on track and it really helps.
davsil 0 Posted September 18, 2009 I have a Wii Fit and its a great tool. I'm actually looking to start a "Couch to 5K" routine with it. That way I can do the walking in the privacy of my basement. I was talking to a co-worker about it this morning and she has the Wii Personal Trainer and loves it. I also read some good reviews of the new Wii Resort which is the update to the Wii Sports that comes with the console.
