minidriver 0 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi everyone! I am done and have been home for four hours now. I'm in a little pain, but just took another pain pill so that will help. I got up to go to the bathroom and was very very dizzy so I sat back down in the recliner and fainted after I sat down! Scared poor DH to death. So far so good though. Doctor removed about six pounds. It should look great when it's all healed! Well, that's all for now. I'll post tomorrow and maybe take a pic when we're changing my dressiings. Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 10, 2009 Mini, I am so happy you are all done and did well. I am also glad you were already sitting down when you fainted!!!! Do you have a pain pump? It will be great to see your pictures. I hope you heal quickly and get back on your feet fast. Mimi
minidriver 0 Posted September 10, 2009 Thanks again for the well wishes! So far so good today. I'm in some pain, but not unbearable. I'm only taking one pain pill at a time rather than two, as I think part of my fainting problem yesterday may have been because of taking two. I'm surprised by the amount of pain in my sides! The only thing I can think is that it's from him pulling the muscles together. Not sure what else it could be. Well, I'll keep you guys informed. When we take off the binder today to change my dressings, maybe I'll have DH take a pic. TTFN!!

Getting up and down is the toughest, of course, but very reminiscent of whey I had a hysterectomy and c-sections, so I know it will get better everyday. I can't wait to see what it looks like under there!
skinnyjeans 2 Posted September 11, 2009 Glad you are well. rest, rest. I had surgery a few years ago and fainted when hubby was changing dressing. ended up on floor.. Hubby freaked out too. he was standing right next to me and was slappin me and clapping real loud. weirdest thing I have felt. Can't wait to see pics. Take it easy
Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 11, 2009 Good morning Mini. I hope you are well!! Are you living in a recliner like others have said they are? Good move to only take 1 pain pill if that controls your pain. Best wishes, Mimi

I decided to take 1.5 pain pills through the night and that was a bit better. Today I'm really really stiff, but not necessarily in as much pain.

minidriver 0 Posted September 11, 2009 Thanks again! Hey, I posted another pic yesterday on make-me-heal. It's just of my incision. Nothing too exciting. If I remember today, I'll also take one of the sides to show how far around the incisions go.
minidriver 0 Posted September 11, 2009 Well, poop. I have a large seroma above my left hip. Just got back from the doc. He aspirated quite a bit of it, but said it was too clotted to get all of it, so I have to go back in Monday and he'll suction it out with a cannula and put a couple of stitches in it. So I look pretty icky right now. Oh well.
Mimilou2004 13 Posted September 11, 2009 Mini, that really stinks about the seroma. I hope he can get it all out. I am glad you are adjusting your pain meds as needed, no fun to be in pain. Thank you for sharing the picture. I can't get over what a fine line/incision you have!!!! Awesome, indeed. I am going to rent a recliner for a month because I don't have one. It will be electric with a tilt seat to help eject me from the chair, LOL!!!! Take care, Mimi
