I am currently looking for the right protien shake for me..... I have only tired one and it was TERRIBLE. So I thought I would ask you guys what you have found. I like the sweet stuff that makes me think Im drinking a milkshake. Im not much for choking down something that is nasty. Right now I am drinking slim fast and I love them but they only have 10 grams of protien rather than the 25 or so you get from a protien shake. What have you guys found?

I like the CarbSolutions shakes I get from Drugstore.com. They are just a tad chalky but that's because they also have a lot of nutrition in them aside from the Protein, but I like them a lot. They're sweetened with sucralose (Splenda).

Try the Muscle Milk Light - they have 20 grams of Protein in each shake and to me the chocolate is delicious.

My suggestion is to purchase 1 or 1 pack to try and if you like it costco sells it by the case.

I agree with the muscle milk light. I have used the powder in Cookies n creme and vanilla creme. If you want a sweet taste, then this might be for you. I am currently using gnc's unflavored whey Protein and am mixing it in my morning smoothies.< /p>

I think that generally you will find the pre-made shakes in the cans have a very chemically flavor. I have found that the powder (I use the Unjury which I order on the internet) is much smoother and does not taste bad at all. I even add a little Peanut Butter or espresso instant coffee to switch up the flavor. I just ordered powdered Peanut butter which has much fewer calories and fat to see how it tastes in the shakes.

The girls in my support group all recommended Unjury. You can get it at Unjury.com. I really like it. The chocolate when mixed with skim milk tastes a lot like chocolate milk. They all swore by it, and after trying it, I agree

I cannot stand the smell of Protein powders and high Protein shakes. I have found that if if use powdered carnation instant Breakfast (the sugar free kind) and mix in half a scoop of unjury unflavored Protein Powder, the gross smell and taste is minimized. I actually find myself looking forward to it each morning. I get 23g Protein in each shake when made with skim milk.

If you like slim fast, there is a slim fast low carb that has 20grams of Protein. That is what I have started drinking just to get the protein in. I dont think it taste any different than the other slim fast.

Like an above poster, I use the chocolate Unjury and mix in a tablespoon of PB2 powdered Peanut Butter. Delicious! And the nutrition facts for the PB2 are amazing. It obviously doesn't give you that creamy texture of peanut butter, but if its the taste you're after, you can't beat PB2. There is something like 2-3g of fat per serving but 6g of Protein. Awesome!

This is the Protein shake I drink - Slim Fast Low Carb Diet. It has 20 grams of Protein, 190 Calories, with a Total Fat of 9grams. Total Carbs - 6 grams. I drink Creamy chocolate - and it's real good chilled.....

I tried Akins Advantage Vanilla shake. It has 15g of Protein, 1 g of Sugar, 1g Net Carbs and 2 g of Fiber. It helps with the bowel situations since it has the fiber in it too. Drink two a day. Can purchased them from Walmart or by the case from Sam's club. Not too bad but they be COLD.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
