Kathy473 1 Posted October 4, 2005 Is there any reason why the chat room is always empty. I was just curious because sometimes it's nice to just strike up a conversation with someone and share your thoughts, fears, accomplishments and just daily life with someone that is going through the same thing that you are. Not that I sit at the computer all day but sometimes at night I do sit and read the message boards for awhile and click on the chat room and I am the only one there. Like I said, just curious! chichigirl 1 Posted October 4, 2005 It's always been like that, no one ever seems to use it. I too would like to be able to have a one on one with someone once in awhile, but I guess the only way that can really happen is if you are talking to someone and you both agree it would be easier to switch over to the chat room, then you could both use it, with very little chance of being interrupted. AnotherMe 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Kathy, I've often wondered the same thing. Others have brought up suggestions as to how to make it more user friendly. I have seen some people start threads with "Join us in the Chat Room at _ o'clock Central" or something similar. I usually check to see if anyone's in there, but when I see I'm alone I get out quick!! Don't want to be accused of talking to myself! I'm also in Houston, and Dr Spivak will perform my surgery on Monday 10/10 .. I'm getting excited! We'll definitely have to get a chat started up soon! What's a good time for everyone?
