Good evening, Violets..

I'm back and the drive was just beautiful. The colors were awesome. I posted some pix on Facebook.

Everything was pretty much sold out. I was disappointed with the selection. I got a couple of long sleeve tee shirts for Kris and I to wear as pj tops. Also got a gift for a Violet for the gift exchange. Wonder who it will be......

I just finished making the Pasta salad for the luncheon tomorrow. Now to wrap Grady's present. Still no word from the pastor on exactly what Bob will be allowed to do. He hasn't emailed the forms that Kris and Nathan are to fill out either. Great follow through, as usual.

Tomorrow is Children's Sabbath. The congregation has donated lots of things to put in backpacks for children who have to live in shelters. We'll assemble everything after church during fellowship hour. I'm singing a solo in church. Just hope I can make it through without crying!

Bob and Joe are on their way back from Ann Arbor. U of M won big time, so they are happy. They should be home in a couple of hours.

Off to watch tv and surf the net.

Everyone have a great evening.. sleep well.

Hey Girls~

WOW...we are too quiet on the weekends!

We bought a new dinning room table yesterday! It is cute w/ 6 chairs and comes w/ matching lazy susan! I can't wait for it to arrive (will find out w/in 72 hours when it is coming)! Just doin' our part to stimulate the economy!

Got my degree framed! I pick it up on Nov. 1...can't wait!

Today is grading, football, hamburgers and salad! I am meeting the couple I will be marrying today...looking forward to that too!

I'll post later. Enjoy the day and your families!

Judy...Thinking of you and your family today. Hope Grady enjoys the baptism. My nephew Johnny screamed at the top of his lungs every time Wendy walked him into the church. She kept having to take him outside. Then when it was his turn (done w/ 4 other families) he was screaming again...the priest said, "this child really needs the Lord!" Enjoy this special day w/ your family!

Good afternoon, Violets..

Well, the baptism is over and it went well. When Bob got to church, Tom (the minister) asked how he was. Bob said... "to tell you the truth, I'm upset". Bob proceeded to tell him how he felt, not getting any information. The excuse was just as I thought.. Tom said he sent Bob an email. Bob never got it and told him. When Tom asked what email address and Bob told him hotmail, he said.. "oh, the church computers have problems sending to hotmail accounts." WELL.. wouldn't you CALL and make sure everything was set BEFORE the service??? Bob was so flustered, that he forgot to turn off his cell phone and of course during the service he got a call.... from the minister of his former church. He was mortified and threw the phone in my direction so I could take it to the music room nearby.

Grady was awesome... no tears at all until everyone laid hands on him and then just a little cry and it was done. Bob did a very good job even though he had to read "stuff". Bob's style is totally different from Tom's. Tom reads everything out of the book of worship. Bob knows what needs to be said and changes it for every baptism. I sang my song and got through to to very last note before I got weepy. The last line of the song is.... "and we will smile when people say to us... your children are so much like you". The song is about modeling good works for our children. Welllll... with Kris and Joe sitting in the front pew, instead of holding the last note out for 4 beats, I only made it for 1.5 before I choked up.

It was a good service and the party at Kris's was fun too. I posted pics on Facebook.

Bob left to play golf and I'm just chillaxing now. I have my hospital shift in the morning and if Joe works, then Ethan will be here from 8-5. I have rehearsal for Community Chorus starting tomorrow evening. Now I have rehearsals 4 nights a week. What's wrong with this picture???? Oh well, I'd rather be busy than bored.

Ok..enough for this novel. That's to make up for it being so quiet in here. Course I couldn't get in for a while cause the site was down.

Everyone have a good evening..

Good Monday Morn, Vi's~~

Sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend! Me, too.

This morning I'm taking DS "down the road" (aka "to the big city", lol) for a cardiac stress test... he has a slow heartbeat and gets dizzy sometimes and so has been to the cardio and now they want this test done... it's ironic, as he's the most physically fit one of all of us! I'm confident it'll be fine.

Other than that... it's looking like a regular week on tap!

Everyone make it a great day/week/last two weeks of the month!

Good morning my violets!! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

We had a family dinner last night at my mom's house to Celebrate my birthday. Lots and lots of yummy homemade cooking. She even made me my favorite, "Arroz con leche", rice pudding. YUM YUM YUM. I didn't bring any to work today but I should have.

We had two cakes, one chocolate and one Italian creme. My mom ordered them from the bakery that is doing my wedding cakes so that everyone could taste them. SO SO SO YUMMY.

Today I am unfortunately working but Juan said he has a nice surprise for me tonight. Probably dinner and maybe music somewhere? That's usually what we do for birthdays...

Judy - I'm sorry that all that happened with Grady's baptism. The good thing is that ya'll were able to just overcome it so that Tim wasn't able to ruin it for Kris... The party pics look fun! That cake looks yummy!

Pam - where are you putting your 6 seater table?? Send pics when it gets in. You got your degree in?? Yay yay yay!!

I was so super busy this weekend. I had two weddings, one satraday and one Sunday... whew! Hate doing two in a row like that, wears me out! Luckily they were small weddings, ceremony only. They last about 3 hours each.

Oh and Saturday morning we went looking for invites again and we FOUND the ones I wanted. I'm so happy!! Now all I have to do is work on the Save The Date cards. I'm thinking of doing magnets. What do ya'll think? I found a website called Vista Print that does them pretty cheap. I'll just have to find someone to do a little design for me and I upload it and they print them for me. So cool!!

Sorry for the ramblin! I'll be back!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
