Heather - you are doing awesome my dear. I'm sure just a little tweak to your diet and you'll be back to losing in no time. I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Hugs and kisses for you!

Oh and my shirt - yes! maybe it was my subconsious! he he he... I just folded it up and put it away. I will be needing it next fall. Hopefully. God willing.

My TOM came during my honeymoon... durrrr. My doc actually gave me a pill that stops it though LOL.

Haydee, good luck with the honeymoon baby!!! But, if it ends up not happening for 1.5 year (that's from today, which means beginning of 2011!) we can do it together :scared2:

Ok, PM me if you want to join the list. Unless you moved since Last Christmas, or did NOT participate last year, you don't need to send me your addy. Just send me some likes and dislikes that are relevant to someone who would buy you something.

Get this to me by Oct. 21, that is when I will send out SS picks!

OH and I've bought a shirt from Target 2 years ago that was maternity, didn't realize it. Didn't look maternity and I wore it anyway.

Laura - i need help with a color...

I went to see a designer about my invites and that didn't work out. But the color swatch that she showed me was the EXACT shade of green that I want for my wedding and now I can't find it anywhere. It's a green that starts with the letter C. I tried google and everything. I can't very well ask her since I've already told her we won't be using her... Help?

Hey Girls~

Haydee, don't cha wanna be w/ me? or Jane?

OMG...what a crappy night. There is this movie called Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity (2009) | Official Movie Site & Trailer

I watched the movie trailer and had NIGHTMARES. We also had a bug in our room last night (one downside of being a lesbian is that we both just scream at the bug)...and I had NIGHTMARES about that too. Basically a very shitty night sleep. This movie looks a little TOO scary...I want to see it...but am already scared. Check out the trailer.

Then I get to work, mind you I AM NOT IN THE MOOD FOR ANYTHING, and I've been robbed. Bastards took $$ out of my drawer for a field trip (my bad for leaving $$) and disshelved some stuff. I have to cover the $ because we are told NOT to leave $...my fault.

I am in a pissy mood...going to rip up a student paper now....what part of NO TALKING DURING A TEST DOES HE NOT GET.

I know it is Friday...but I am "off" today.

OMG, i just saw the trailer and it freaked me out. There is no way i'm watching that movie. My cousin saw it last night and he said it freaked him out...

Can't believe they stole your money! Was it in your drawer? Who could it have been? Janitors or other students?

I got the part-time job at Target. It is unloading the truck and working the merchandise out to the floor. It is 4 AM until 8 am, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Yikes! But you do what you've got to do.

Have a great weekend!!

Yikes, Suzy... congrats on getting the job, but whew....better you than me! Getting up for a 4 a.m. job is bad enough, but then to have to unload a truck and get the merchandise out.. wow. But at least it's not every single day. You get to rest up on the off days. And you are so right.. you do what you have to do!

I'm waiting for the Bobster to finish his round of golf so we can figure out what to do for dinner. He suggested roasted goose poop since there is much of it on the golf course, but I said.. ummmm no, don't think so!

I worked outside today and got my shrubs pruned and the hot tub filled up and all my artsy fartsy stuff cleaned out of the gardens and put away for the winter. Unfortunately when I was doing that, I fell somehow and hit my nose on a paving brick. It didn't bleed and isn't broken or swollen, but it aches. I got a few scrapes on my arms, but other than that, I'm fine. Just had a good cry and then the boo boos were better.

Bob and Joe are going to Ann Arbor tomorrow to watch the U of M football game. I decided I'm going to Mackinaw, 2 hours way, to hit the end of the season sales. I need a couple sweatshirts and long sleeved tee shirts. Their stores close up for the winter and they always have good deals the last weekend.

The golfers are back, so better see what's for supper. Everyone have a good evening..

LOL yay Judy!

Haydee, I was going to send you here, you can look at all the colors (PMS colors is what they're called)

http://www.easymake.com.au/images/PMS%20Color%20Chart.pdf

There's a whole area of shades of green. These aren't named (we have the color books), but once you pick one, you just google PMS ### or PMS Color ### to find the name, then you can take that info to the printer to find the paper color.

Good morning, Violets..

The Bobster and Joe left for Ann Arbor at 5 this morning. Game is at noon. It's a 4 hour drive and they've never been there before so they'll be hunting for a parking spot. Should be tons of people there. Bob said that 3X the number of people who live in Alpena will be in the stadium watching the game. I'm headed north to quiet little Mackinaw City. Should be a beautiful drive. I'm going to take the camera and get some pics of the fall colors.

When I get home I need to make a Pasta salad for the baptism get together tomorrow.

No word from the pastor about what Bob's role is in the ceremony tomorrow. Also no forms emailed to me that Nathan and Kris have to fill out. That's how this guy works. Will be interesting to see how things pan out tomorrow.

I was up at 4 this morning... I couldn't get to sleep cause my brain was working overtime. Went back to bed and slept a few more hours and am now ready to hit the road. Everyone have a great day!! Will check in when I get home.

No after effects from the fall yesterday except I had to change my watch to my right arm. When I fell I got a big bruise where my watch dug into my left arm. Owie. Nose is fine though. I was wishing it had been broken and then I'd ask for plastic surgery while they were at it to make it a normal sized, perky nose. Sighhhh not gonna happen.

Judy, be careful driving!!! Is there an outlet mall there? I love outlet malls and shopping.

Wow Laura, that list is overwhelming!! All those colors!! I thought we had it bad when somebody came in and asked for the Shampoo in the blue bottle!! Great resource though!!

I hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Off to work!!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.

Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness.
