Oh poor lil guy!

Yet another disappointment today, re ds & soccer... what the hell is wrong w this year? Why is everything going wrong? I'd love just one day where I don't feel sad & cry. Every day when I wake up I think that this is the day that things will turn around, but every day I'm wrong. Sigh. But, am glad I'm here for him. Man this year is beating the shut out of me.

Good afternoon, Violets..

Sorry to hear Carson is sick again. Poor little guy. Poor Mom and Dad!

Michelle.. what happened with ds and soccer??? So sorry you're going through all of this.

We are under a winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow. Since when is it winter???? Up to 4 inches of heavy, wet snow expected tonight and tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it. My fingers are crossed for all my new plants.

Long story. He's still playing, but didn't get invited to an upper-level tournament, after working really hard toward that goal all year.

Sorry, didn't mean to go into it all... but last Monday after my weekend away, both kids had major meltdowns... seems they save up all their hurts for me... this was on top of the car bs... I really think we're all still processing the events of the past few months... everyone is so tender and bruises more easily than usual... we need each other more... things that. normally wed deal w well we deal w badly... is this making sense? Bleh.

You know it's bad when ERE didn't cheer me up. I go back to my doc on tues and an going to ask her to crank up the dosage on the happy pills. Maybe a continuous drip would do it?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
