Good Morning!

Bad storms again last night!!

I am FRANTICALLY trying to finish a project, I just told my mom my power really never goes off, where I live the lines are all buried...........Fast forward to about 45 minutes later and the storm is for all practical purposes passed, and boom, lights out!!! But, I did light a candle before, so I wasn't in total darkness. Am I finished with my project??? NO!!!!!!!! But I WILL finish by Monday! I WILL!! I WILL!!

Today is my mom's and uncles birthday. We are celebrating them tomorrow along with my niece and my sisters father in law.

Judy GOOD LUCK ON WEIGHT WATCHERS!!!!!!!! Tell Bob not to worry, I am a Presbyterian too, so he already has a special place with me!!

Watched Lovely Bones last night. Love Stanley Tucci, he played such a odd spooky guy in this. It was an okay movie, but bet the book was better. I really wanted to rent Blind Side but they didn't have it.

Okay I am so rambling, and I have to get to work, so have a nice day!!!

Laura, love Carson walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pamela, have never had them, but fish tacos? I don't know, I like fish, I like tacos, but together? Hope you are enjoying your weekend still!!!!!!!!

Thanks.. I just checked with dd and she said the same. I don't know how involved I'll be with the WW, but it will keep me accountable and that's a good thing.

Rainy day here, but it's supposed to get up to 75 and things are really greening up out there.

Everyone have a good, relaxing day! Be good to yourselves..

Hey Girls~

Slept in until 8...AAAHHHH! Now we are drinking coffee and watching the soaps, I LOVE SATURDAYS!

Yes, the 35 are the "extra", so you never really feel like you are on a diet. They are for the margies, or wine ( I know that applies to you). I am starting tomorrow.

We are having 3 couples over tonight for dinner. I already got this big piece of meat in the crocker now. I am looking forward to a relaxing evening w/ the girls!

I agree w/ the tons of stuff to read ww. But we will get used to it. And I eat the same amount of cottage cheese, banana, granola each morning...so I'll learn the points.

Off to start my day of leisure!

Yes you get 35 pts. per week, to use however you want...I was at 21pts., now with maintenance, I am at 23...and I lost again this week, so we may have to adjust the goal/or new Drs. note...decisions...they want you within 2 lbs EITHER way of goal, so now I am at 4.2 below goal....maybe next week I'll weigh in jeans and hubby's hiking boots...lol....enjoy the weekend everybody!!!

Laura, tell me that it doesn't hurt the horses when they whip them so hard. It seems so cruel, and the people who make the money aren't even the ones who work with the horses are they?

I also have been meaning to ask whatever happened with you inlaws and the tax situation.

Good morning, Violets..

Another rainy day here today. Yesterday was the first day on WW and it went quite well. Now at least when I go to the fill doctor I can say I'm really working at it.

If it stops raining we'll be working out in the yard today. If not, it's inside cleaning. Got to have everything spic and span before we leave on the 13th.

Everyone have a great day!! Be good to yourselves.

Good morning, serious kink in my shoulder!! Can barely move my arm. Not happy today. You know that is the shoulder I hit about 3 weeks ago, and I just have felt like I have needed a good massage the past few days because it has hurt, (although never had a massage, but only think it would be great!). Wow, it even hurts to type!!!!

I am such a baby.................

Good afternoon, Violets..

Just up from a nice, long nap. The Bobster and Joe are playing golf so yard work will wait until he gets back home. The rain has stopped and it's looking soooooooo green outside now. What a difference a couple of weeks makes.

Janie.. sorry about your shoulder! You don't think you've dislocated it, do you?

Well, I had to stop reading the book I started. Rooms was just getting way too preachy for me. I read the reviews and people said they were upset Amazon didn't give an accurate description of the book. I figured I could handle religious stuff, right? Wrong.. too much for me. I want drama, humor or mystery, not a sermon.

Sooooooo I started reading Julia's Chocolates and so far am loving it. Here's the synopsis..

From the moment Julia Bennett leaves her abusive Boston fiance at the altar and her ugly wedding dress hanging from a tree in South Dakota, she knows she's driving away from the old Julia, but what she's driving toward is as messy and undefined as her own wounded soul. The old Julia dug her way out of a tortured, trailer park childhood with a monster of a mother. The new Julia will be found at her Aunt Lydia's rambling, hundred-year-old farmhouse outside Golden, Oregon.

There, among uppity chickens and toilet bowl planters, Julia is welcomed by an eccentric, warm, and often wise clan of women, including a psychic, a minister's unhappy wife, an abused mother of four, and Aunt Lydia herself - a woman who is as fierce and independent as they come. Meeting once a week for drinks and the baring of souls, it becomes clear that every woman holds secrets that keep her from happiness. But what will it take for them to brave becoming their true selves? For Julia, it's chocolate. All her life, baking has been her therapy and her refuge, a way to heal wounds and make friends. Nobody anywhere makes chocolates as good as Julia's, and now, chocolate just might change her life - and bring her love when she least expects it. But it can't keep her safe. As Julia gradually opens her heart to new life, new friendships, and a new man, the past is catching up to her. And this time, she will not be able to run but will have to face it head on.

Filled with warmth, love, and truth, Julia's Chocolates is an unforgettable novel of hope and healing that explores the hurts we keep deep in our hearts, the love that liberates us, the courage that defines us, and the chocolate that just might take us there.

I'm doing very well on my eating,(even after all this talk of chocolates!) but of course I've done that before. We'll see how long it lasts. Day two of WW is almost done. Kris started today and she had 9 points after lunch, so she has lots to use up for supper and Snacks.< /span>

Off to check emails and then get outside.

wow.. pretty quiet in here today.

Well, we got outside for a little bit and got the bird bath cleaned out and leveled. The plants are where they need to be planted, but Bob has to do that on Thursday. He won't have any free time until then. And then of course the next week will be doubly hectic. We'll wrap up rehearsals before we leave on Wednesday afternoon. We're not sure when Joe is leaving for Wyoming. It could be the week of the Texas trip or the week after. We just have to wait and see. I just hope everything works out for him. If it does, then Jen and Ethan will move out there in August and then there will be one sad, sad Gramma. But I need to focus on enjoying the time I have left with him.

Onward to Desperate Housewives and Kendra! Everyone have a good evening. sleep well.

Hey Girls~

I was going to start WW today, but spent 9 hours in the ER w/ Sus. Actually, 2.5 hours was in the urgent care, then they made her go to the ER. She had a large piece of meat stuck in her throat and couldn't swallow anything since last night about 7pm. She had to spit out her saliva...pretty bad.

She is fixed and home. I had a salad at hospital...then left overs when I came home. so, tomorrow.

off to check emails and Walden...

c u tomorrow!

hope Michelle and Haydee are having a GREAT TIME!

Once the GI doc showed up and "scoped" her, I heard the girl say, "THERE IT IS!" They push it down! We had friends over last night and she was eating, drinking, talking (like everyone does) and WHAMO...choke city! She couldn't lay in bed, had to sleep in recliner. Poor thing...literally carried a spit cup all day w/ her. We left the house at 7:30, and got home at 4:40...long crazy day!

Wow, Pamela, how scary for her!!! and you!!!

I am 99% sure that I did nothing to the bone, it is in the muscle area that hurts. It is a teeny bit better then this morning.

Boy chocolate should not be on your reading list Judy!!! Although you are doing great!!!

I didn't get anything accomplished today. Tomorrow will have to be a busy day for me!!!

Good morning, Violets..

Headed to Port Huron today to get the Bobster a fill. I don't think I'm going to have one, though I might break down and get a tiny one. Will have to discuss it with the doc.

Everyone have a great day.. I'm taking the Kindle for the 8 hour round trip. Should be able to get close to finishing the book.

Will check in when we get back tonight.

Morning girls~

Sus is better, what an amazing difference. She can eat and drink now!!!

Jane, get the shoulder checked because it can become an arthritis issue, if it is not already. That is a dull ache, w/ periodic sharps of pain.

Can't believe we will be toasting with each other one week from Thursday!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
