I have had these horrible pains since yesterday. I am just wondering. How do you know? Can anybody explain the feeling?:w00t:

Slippage actually doesn't occur very often. You would probably not be able to swallow anything, though.

My surgeon told me specifically that he stitches the band into the proper place so that it won't slip. I've read others say their doctor did the same....

If you believe you have a problem, call your doc today (it's FRIDAY and you'll be stuck all weekend if you don't).

Call your doc. You have "horrible pain" so whether it is a slip or something else you need medical attention.
