soft cheeses on mushy stage?

Recommended Posts

Well my favorite right now is the Light Laughing Cow soft cheese wedges. I just use the original, but I know that they come in a few different flavors for some variety. They are really soft and creamy and they totally satisfy me.

I know you mentioned that you don't like cottage cheese, but have you ever tried flavouring it? I used to put cinnamon and splenda on it.....or pineapple juice....or sometimes for a more savoury flavour, just used some garlic salt.

cheese, glorious cheese.....the second love of my life (DH is first of course)

I like ricotta cheese. I put marinara sauce over it and some parmesan and bake it.

I found a recipe for a cottage cheese flavored with Jello. You take a large carton of cottage cheese and dump in a small package of sugar free jello any flavor and it was really good. You can add some crushed fruit as well. YUM!

Besides the Laughing Cow cheese, I also like the Baby-bel cheese rounds. It's not as soft as LC, but it is very smooth. I keep them on hand when I'm feeling hungry in the mid-afternoon. It helps get me through 'til dinner.< /p>

Smoked Gouda is freakin' awesome. The Laughing Cow cheeses are softer, but as long as you mush up the cheese in your mouth really well, it's fine.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
