Erin18 143 Posted August 27, 2009 That you recommend asking my dr for? I'm realllly itchy and I can't stop itching. I think I might be alergic to the nausea meds or the glue they put on my incissions they itching got more itchy since two days ago and the itchies are only near my incissions and I have 5. The itchy-est ones are my chest, my two incissions on the right, the other two are fine. The itching is too hard not to. Anybody else have the itching problem? What did you use to relieve the itching? Thanks by the way
suzinrg 0 Posted August 27, 2009 My doctor told me to use a small amount of Witch Hazel. Put some on a cotton ball and dab it on a couple of times a day. It worked for me.

ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Erin, hydrocortisone cream will help as well. Some tubes actually say "anti itch" on them but any will work.

tkattau 0 Posted January 22, 2010 I am using cold packs and they are very useful. My nurse told me to careful of the creams because they can get in the incisions. She said benadryl wouldn't hurt either.
BetsyB 9 Posted January 24, 2010 Hydrocortisone can affect wound healing; I would avoid it unless my doctor okayed it. OTC oral Benadryl or its generic equivalent is the route I'd take.
Erin18 143 Posted January 25, 2010 theyre not itchy anymore thank god lol what i did was used a heating pad or a ice pack, which i thought helped, i didnt put any creams or ointments on them, i tried avoiding to itch it but sometimes i just had to, i think they went away by the end of september (:
