To All SCI FI FANS

Recommended Posts

Hey you guys, I just came from the new sci-fi movie "Serenity" and it was GREAT!! It's sci-fi with an old western flavor, which is cool. There has been so little publicity for the film and the theatre was almost empty. I sat there really enjoying the show and feeling sorry for all the people at all the CRUMMY movies out there right now.

I suppose it takes a sci-fi fan to truly appreciate it--but I think almost any woman would be taken by the "ship's" captain. (And Omigod, the figure on his black firstmate is to die for!) Serenity is the movie from the little-aired series "Firefly" which I also like.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you if you're looking for a show this is a good one.

Serenity was AWESOME!!!!!!! It was totally amazing! My Dh, who picks apart every movie, always, said he had nothing to pick at this movie!

I'm a big fan of Firefly, maybe not as big a fan as Nana~, since I didn't go in constume... :(

Pay full price for this one kids!

Cool! Thanks for the tip guys. I saw the first episode of firefly (here in australia) last week and really enjoyed it, I noticed the movie was coming out and thought that might be good too - but now I will make sure I go see it :(

I LOVE Sci-Fi stuff!!! As a matter of fact, Stargate is one of my all time favorite shows.

I will definately have to rent this one when it comes out on DVD. It sounds like a winner!

Serenity is the movie for my date this weekend with Mike :(. We started watching Firefly when it started showing on the Sci Fi channel recently. We also don't miss Stargate :)

okay, how wacky is this? The first thing I thought was NO FRELLING WAY!

The Operative 94%

Kaylee Frye 94%

Zoe Alleyne Washburne 81%

Simon Tam 81%

The Operative You are dedicated to your job and very good at what you do. You've done some very bad things, but they had to be done. You don't expect to go to heaven, but that is a sacrifice you've made for a better future for all.

The Mechanic. You are a natural mechanic, and you are far too sweet and cheerful to live out here. How you can see the good in everyone around you boggles the mind occationally. Still you don't seem to be any crazier than that, and it is a nice kinda crazy.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
