PB's will suck, i havent had one, well kind of had, a while ago like in week 3 i think, i tried a cracker and it felt like it was stuck (i know i wasnt supposed to) but i tried it anyways, it didnt come up it went down after awhile, it does hurt, but i really shouldnt have had that since i really dont have a fill. i will eat the popsicles and i will get some more gatorade g2 cause i can drink those ..ugh my mom just got the wrong kind, hopefully its ok, its regular gatorade >.< what are some softer Proteins? eggs and what else? and yeah the meatloaf stayed down. i dont have any burning, i had a little bit in my mouth but it went away..i know, this website helped me get through tough times and found answers to my questions, i come on here everyday, yeah its going to be hard when i go back to school, im really nervous to go back, just the thought of getting sick or something, bothers me. thanks (:

Softer proteins...refried Beans, greek yogurt (I love the SF preserves ontop), cottage cheese, oatmeal or another hot Cereal with some soy Protein mixed in (I have this most mornings...about 20g of protein with 2T of the soy p.), thick bean Soups, meat stews, chili. Some have problems with eggs actually as they are rubbery and don't break up anymore than you chew them in the pouch so chew. Stick to the things you know you can eat the first few weeks back at school and you'll do fine. Even as much as chewing sometimes it's how fast you eat, so take it slow.

How are you feeling by now. I agree with eating things you know will work the first few days of school. I drank Protein shakes for lunch the first week I was back to work after my surgery so that I didn't risk getting sick.

Slow down and relax. This is the best time of your life, enjoy it.

I'm starting to feel better, I'm gonna drop cosmetology this year and just go next year since I won't have to go to regular school plus since I'll drop cosmetology I'll beable to have an early dismissal everyday which I'll beable to have lunch at home and relax the rest of the day and have time to exercise or do something fun (: sounds really good to me I can tell I'll have a good year now (:. I started doing solids the day my nut told me to and since then I've been getting a little better she also said to eat my Protein instead of drinking it.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
