What is that? I might have it and my band might need to be stretched! How do they do it? By surgery? Ahh I'm curious as to what it is

Sorry Kiddo do not know what you are going through. Perhaps it is an inflamation? Hang in there. Try not to stress out. are you eating anything? liquids?

I'm trying to but it's hard when you feel you gotta throw up the liquids (besides water)

My symptoms are, weird feeling in throat, nasty taste, stomach feels like it was punched, been getting dizzy, and been getting headaches, and don't really have a appetite, I just wish I knew exactly what it was and why I'm not feeling up to anything. The nurse said if anything drastically changes or I stop eating to go give them a call or go to the ER (can't remember which one she said) why do I have to be the one to have a complication? Boo );

Sorry Erin, I don't know what a narrowing is. Maybe swelling from vomitting? Not sure but let us know when you find out.

I felt this way for almost two weeks but it is slowly going away. I am not sure what it is but it is a pain in the butt. I hope that you feel better soon. Let us know what the doc says.

You are really probably swollen because you keep trying to eat. You need to take yourself of off solid foods all together for a few days. I've been in the exact same situation. No oatmeal, no mac and cheese, no cheetos. Fluids only! I don't wanna sound mean but that's truly what you need to do. You're probably gonna be stuck in this vicious cycle until you get your swelling under control

I'm not on solids yet just mushies and I haven't had anything mushy since yesturday and I'm going to do that

You will still get sick on mushies when you are swollen. I have several times. When you are severely swollen hardly anything will pass through

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
