shanmnband 0 Posted October 1, 2005 I'm having the band done Oct. 11th. Any advice about the day of surgery and soon after? Would love to get some of the inside scoop from people willing to share a bit. The big question- are you happy you did it?
the best me 6 Posted October 1, 2005 The big question- are you happy you did it? YES! And I had a very rough first 2 weeks post-surgery where I was kicking myself and feeling very foolish for having done this thing. No regrets now, though. Walk and sip when you get home. Go slow. Read read read before you go. Where are you getting banded and how much weight do you want to lose? Be sure to post on the October Bandsters thread, too. You are in good company! tztmama 0 Posted October 1, 2005 I was just banded and lots of good people advised me to sip Water, have plenty of Gas X on hand, bring a pillow to place on my tummy for the ride home, and loose fitting clothes. Also, take an inventory of task that require lifting and try to get "ahead of the game" with those chores or have someone who will help you. Staying in touch with your fellow bansters offers fantatstic emotional support! Best of luck to you! Darla
