Band_Groupie 3 Posted November 8, 2009 5 incisions; stitches inside, glue on outside and a clear waterproof adhesive patch put over each one to help healing. Worked great.
Amy1981 0 Posted November 8, 2009 I actually only have 1 small incision and a small dot (for the liver retractor. I only had glue on my incision. My Dr. only does a small incision for the port (if he is able to) there are some factors he looks for after he makes the cut. My husband had 4 small cuts (same DR) . I guess every Dr. Is different and every patient.
kayakguy 0 Posted November 9, 2009 I ended up with 6 incisions . All small with the exeption one about 1 inche long. All glued, no sign of stiches or staples. They didn't put any kind of covering on them either. I had a shower the day after my surgery no problem.:smile2:
Tilling 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I got steri-strips taping my incisions shut. told to let them fall off, which they just did. (my surgery was 2 weeks ago today!) I have lots of tape residue on my skin, though.

k-statearmywife 6 Posted November 11, 2009 I have 5 and mine are all glued. My girls (3&4) like to touch them. The only weird part is that around the edges (the surgeon more than covered the area with glue) it's started to flake off, which i'm glad because it kinda catches on my tshirt. barbie1978 22 Posted November 11, 2009 5 incisions, stitches inside, glue outside....once it started coming off it itched like no other! lol And some of it came off too early (on it's OWN..i didn't touch it) so the incisions kind of widened...does that make sense? But i don't care...it was worth it!
