reneek 1 Posted August 19, 2009 I have my 3 month check up tomorrow and i not sure if i should get a fill. I don't PB or slime at all and i can eat whatever i want bread ect. The only problem that i have is sometimes when i eat i get that pain in my chest (which i think is just from not chewing enough). I am getting hungry quicker and am finding myself looking for food but i am scared if i get a fill that the pain will get worse. I am doing really well as of today i am down 37lbs in 3 months. I just don't want to not get a fill and have to wait another month and be hungry. Do you think with another fill the pain will get worse or do you think it is operator error. I only get that pain maybe a couple of meals a week and it usually is with the first few bites. Why does this have to be so confusing
lotzasunshine 2 Posted August 19, 2009 I would call your dr and ask for their opinion. Most dr's are very supportive, especially when you are actually hungry and looking for food. The chest pain is usually due to not chewing enough or taking too big of bites. But go ahead and call to see if they would recommend a fill or not. Always a good idea to trust the dr. Good luck and congrats on losing so much so quick! Took me almost 6 months to get where you are!
kswinterk 0 Posted August 19, 2009 The pain in your chest sounds like your not chewing your food enough. I get the same pain if I eat to fast or try to eat bread or tortilla's. If you aren't really having any restrictions to where you can eat bread, then i would say get the fill. The fill is suppose to make you feel satisfied and not crave food. The pain will get worse if you don't take smaller bites and chew your food. That is the worse part about the band, but it does help you decide to quit eating after that happens. Good luck!
