Catherine55 43 Posted August 18, 2009 I can't help it. . I love hearing about everyone's NSVs (non-scale victories). They are just plain inspiring. If you have some to share, please post away! Here are a few recent ones I have had: - Being able to shop in the regular department and finding out that I am finally back in a size 12 (OMG!!!); - I can wear heels all day without my feet killing me; - I can run without my compartmental syndrome (a co-morbidity) cutting off my circulation and pinching my nerves! In fact, I am going to run the Komen Race for The Cure in September! I could go on, but I really want to hear other people's! Catherine

Popcorn 0 Posted August 18, 2009 OMG I was in the shower this morning and saw my toes and thought what are those things in the bottom of the shower. I bought a peddal bike for the first time in 20 years and am riding. Able to sit in a booth at a restaurant without having to move the table back. Heal spur not hurting everytime I walk. So much energy am cleaning areas in the house would never thought of cleaning before. Just a few and hardly wait for more to come my way:thumbup:

Unforgettable 0 Posted August 18, 2009 I had my first true NSV yesterday. I made a small road trip out of town to visit an old friend. I was trying to figure out what to wear, and decided to break open my under-the-bed storage bin with my "skinny" clothes on the small chance that something might fit. I was able to fit into one of my most favorite outfits ever, and it fit me perfectly. I haven't been able to wear this outfit since I graduated college in 2006. I was so happy!! bambam 0 Posted August 18, 2009 I enjoy reading everyone else's as well as posting my own. Isn't it exciting??!! Just bought size 18 shorts - started this journey in a tight size 28. Was last in a size 18 about 20-25 years ago. When out walking, when no one is around, I try running and have jogged in place at home. Not a long time, but I do it!! I can reach my toenails to paint them. Seeing my reflection in a window as I pass by - I used to think "who is that?" when I was heavy, but now do the same thing as I'm getting smaller. Not really sure how I have been perceiving myself. Not constantly wondering what I'm going to have for the next meal or 5!
