Band-It-Damn-It 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Hi there: Come in & admit the crazy things you did or thought of doing to get your insurance to pay for your lovely Lap Band... True Confession #1 I bought ankle weights to pack on the pounds... they looked ridiculous so I traded them in for diving weights... I have more confessions... let's swap! Yay! Band-It-Damn-It 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Fine! Don't admit it! You can lie to everyone but you can't lie to yourself.... PS Diving weights rock!
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Nothing to confess. My insurance has a written exclusion for any weight loss surgery. When you have that, there is no way in hell to get them to cover it, period. I knew before I ever even talked to my PCP about lap band that it was out of my pocket. Band-It-Damn-It 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Sorry to hear that you had to pay out of pocket but I am happy you lost 70 pounds! Yay!
tcbgirl 0 Posted August 18, 2009 I asked my pcp to send to to sleep study not knowing that I actually had apnea. It was a good thing since I am sleeping much better now and the insurance approved me for the band. Anissa
