I'm still finally on soft foods, so much better.

I usually had a Protein shake made with skim milk and yogurt for breakfast. lunch was usually sugar free pudding with Protein powder. I guess I'm not much help.

have you tried oatmeal? you can add Peanut Butter and some Protein Powder to give you some of your Protein for the day. Its calorie dense and will keep you fueled for hours. Try cottage cheese with a drizzle of honey, this is my favorite. Cottage cheese has plenty of protein as well. You might want to try the full fat and not the low fat or non fat versions. There is only a 20 calorie differece but you can totally taste it. Did you doctor clear you for fruits I'm guessing you can probrably have a smoothie bananas and strawberries are good together put them in the blender substitute a meal with this.

ok so I'm like a smothie queen lolz!!

1 banana , a couple of strawberries and fresh squeezed orange juice.

1 banana, fresh pinaple and orange juice are just two of my favorite I actually like to add a handfull of baby spinach it has a ton of phytonutrients that you need and you cant taste it.

You can try different variations with your Protein powder as well

banana Peanut Butter and chocolate Protein powder are good

You can doll up your protein powder with vanilla extract, cocoa powder, instant coffee, fruit, berries are in season might want to try that as well. What flavor protein are you using so I can give you some more ideas?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
