October 2009 Surgery Date?

Hi Oliver Dog,

I was banded Oct. 1 and had a similar twisting experience.

My port area was sore for almost a week if I remember correctly, still occasionally get a twinge. Had my 1st fill Oct. 28 and their were no problems seen at that time. My biggest trouble yet has been Constipation. Water and Fiber is a must.

Thanks for this, feeling a little better have been resting and took some more pain killers. Read up on some other threads so took a tablet for constipation and at moment all seems to be better. Will keep my fingers crossed. Thank you for you kind help x

Hi, I was banded on the 21st of oct. Still on liquids until Nov 5, I am still loosing the weight. I weight 279, the week before surgery, and I had started my liquid diet on my own, and today I weigh at work on a accurate scale and weight 259. I have no restrictions, I move around alot, and I can honestly said I've only been hungry twice. I've been to 2 functions where I was surrounded by food, I had my Jello, and Water with me. I guess it depends on the person....good luck and don't be discourage....remember lap band doesnt work as fast as gastric.

Just a quick tid bit..... anyone who needs a good fiber supplement... Target has a super yummy fiber gummy....by vitafusion....one supplement I look forward to lol..... I wasnt doing fiber at first my weight loss stopped for like 5 days then started fiber ......lost 4lbs in last 4 days wooohooo

Thank you! I went out and purchased them today! They are really yummy and I do so need the fiber! I am doing great except in that area! Colace and dulcolax are being my friends!:scared2:
