Good Morning All,

Just some background info. I was banded on 3/30/09. I've had 3 fills; 2 unfills. I've lost 44 lbs so far. It's been a hard road lately. My third fill (2 cc's) was way to tight. I went back and pull out .8 cc's. Still to tight, went back and they pulled 1 cc out. So now, I have 6.5 cc's in my band. Now, it's not tight enough. I can eat just about anything. Dangerous road for me! My next fill is scheduled for 9/16. I am working out six days a week. Now, I am back up 2 lbs. I seem to sabatoge myself. For some weird reason, I am tighter at night instead of in the morning. I end up eating too much in the morning. I just need to get my head on straight. I know it's a process, and I am very happy with what I have done so far. Just worried that I will lose control (like I have so many times in the past pre-band life). Thanks for listening...

Just hang in there once you find the sweet spot it will be worth it. I can eat more than I should but just remember at that point why you did it and try to be strong

Warner1030 is so right! Just because you could eat a foot long Subway and a bag of chips doesn't mean you should! There are plenty of times when we could keep on eating with the only result being the effect on our weight loss. No PB, no stuck, nothing. You still have to follow your eating plan and work with your doc and nutritionist to reach your goals.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
