2Bslim 0 Posted September 29, 2005 I have read that gatorade is good to drink for the post op patients. I tried the pink lemonade flavor, and I don't like it, what flavors are good. I would appreciate any input on what I can drink, I know I will have to stop my diet cokes, and I'm trying to cut down.:think Edna
dylansmom 27 Posted September 29, 2005 We prefer Powerade in this house, and that's just because of the better flavors that they offer. We especially like the fruit Punch (red) one, and also the Orange one. Those 2 are our favs, and very mild tasting. Good luck to you with your surgery! the best me 6 Posted September 29, 2005 I found Gatorade a bit easier to go down than plain Water. So if I was good and thirsty, I'd sip the Orange Gatorade. It tastes better chilled but post-op, warm is better so I just drank it at room temp, for the most part. Yummy. Orange Gatorade! The other flavors sounded too strong tasting, and I don't like anything red so there I was. I'd imagine the original yellow/green Gatorade is good, too. 2Bslim 0 Posted September 29, 2005 I guess I could get used to it if I try, I will get one from vending machines until I find one I like. Thanks for the replies. Edna
Jessiebear 2 Posted September 29, 2005 Hey Edna! I don't like any of those kinds of drinks, but my husband does. He likes Gatorade, but he likes Powerade better (fruit punch flavor)!
piercedqt78 658 Posted September 30, 2005 Try Propel instead, it is made by gatorade and has no sugar. We love it at our house and it comes in Peach Yum!! ~Mandy
