I don't get it have you all worked to much today?

Uh, 'nuff said.

(Didn't notice the rant/rave part, huh?) Eeeek. I'm also thinking she didn't read the whole thread from the beginning. Hmmmm. Let's send her a Possum-Gram to welcome her aboard.

Beth, I noticed that you are playing on another thread. Tsk tsk. Oooh, should that have had a comma? Damn this grammar stuff.

I do so love a traveling donkey show... (note the 3 dots, not 5)

I don't know about you, but my work is NEVER finished until I've insulted and offended every single person on this site. PG said God said it is my destiny. She has his red-line number, yanno.

You know, I'm not so sure I like sharing our sandbox with the other kids.

I did learn something on the boards today though. If you puree lasagne 3 days out from surgery, it is a liquid and fits into your liquid diet. Party time, huh?

Nice use of the ellipsis dots. He/she used the "correct" three, not the five used by that crazed HH.

I did really read the lasagna/lasagne thing, however. :smile2:

Okay, my neighbor's best friend's cousin's husband's dental hygienist just told said neighbor that if I go horseback riding after getting banded, I could bounce so hard that I cough it back up again. Said it could ALSO happen if my hubby and I do it doggy style and get... er... rowdy. Any thoughts?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
