I'm crushed. I may have to start multiple threads about this rude behavior!

I object! I strenuously object! To everything!

Because I don't have a life! I'm banded, but ate 2 deep fried chickens today (slider foods for me) and I'm sitting around stuck! I can't go out in public because slime is coming out of my nose, ears and eyeballs. But I'm not worried because someone here told me it was normal and that I just needed to eat ice cream to counteract the sliming.

I haven't called my doctor, cause, really...what does he know?

So, again - I HAVE NO LIFE. I am ALL about the band and ONLY the band. No other surgery is right for anyone.

No, they're wrong. You have to eat chocolate candy bars to stop the sliming, or a donut usually works for me.

No don't call your doctor. He's stupid.

And OF COURSE the band is right for EVERYONE. Don't you know this is LAPBAND talk???? Everyone should get a band and come here.

Oh, watch out for the feathers. They get stuck in your band, mix with a Protein Shake and then lay eggs. That's not so bad but passing the shells is well, ugly .

Do NOT call your surgeon. He is evil and wants you to fail. Trust me, I know things.

I'm so glad I found this site.

All I want is support.

(Read as: All I want is for people to tell me what I'm doing is okay, because, gosh darn it, that's what I'm going to do anyway whether it's right or wrong.)

And don't you dare tell me what I did was wrong! I will get very ugly and use foul language. I WANT to brag about being an idiot and I want more idiots to follow my bad example. Indeed, the true purpose of LBT is now realized. (Punny, "realized" band)

And I also just want support. Give me the answers I want, dang it!

I've had my band for a month and I've only lost 2 pounds. What am I doing wrong ? Could it be the chicken fingers I eat every day? Maybe the oreos, or the half gallon of ice cream I wash them down with. Shouldn't i be skinny already. Has the band failed already. Isn't it supposed to make me thin overnight ? Please help!!! But not if your help involves me having to make any changes to either my crappy eating habits or nasty attitude. Any suggestions????

Yes, Although you could revise to the sleeve, bypass, or the duodenal switch, and in a PINCH could probably revise to vertically banded gastroplasty (you obviously have NOT done your research)

I suggest you just get your jaw wired shut.

That was so mean!! Why must you talk to people like that?? I'm gonna call for your immediate banishment from the site for being so mean. Dammit I came here to be supported and have everyone agree with everything that I say.

**snort**

really, i should follow your dr's directions or everyone else here (s'pcially them not at goal) cause those rules are just so important and you won't be successful w/out.

i should fire my dr - shame on him for putting that band in me w/less than 100lbs to lose. should call the AMA on him??? but i gave him 30k for my band & DH's - should have saved that coin - got fatter and used that money for new teeth had i known i'd have to chew till i grinded them down.

or wait - what if i had a complication & decided i enter those threads and well, those w/out have a lot to say....

things that make you go HMMMMMMMMMMMM

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
