HEY, I have an effin' job!!! I compare Jerry Springer episodes and take notes. And I run numbers for the mob, but that's on the down low, k?

Wait, I thought they came out of your tummy. Does that mean then that they pass THROUGH the band? And what if they have an unnormally large head like KC? Then what?

If they have unusually large heads, I think you have to get the sleeve. Might want to check with your doctor about that!

Look, makin' money in the circus freak show doesn't count as gainfully employed, does it?

I don't appreciate the hostility or name calling - just because you all want to be like me - I can't help that I am perfect - it's just the way I am - I didn't even need the band - I just got it to help class up you all!

At least you are getting exercise once a month! That is a great start! You should seriously consider getting preggers, I hear you get more $$$$! And you could get one of them new cars to drive so you could cash your check!

Excuse me, dear. But that's I oughtta gets...not get.

But I do wonder, does my disability check count? My mailbox is on the porch so it's not a far walk... but it's actually directly deposited. Hmmm, that's a stumper.

As long as you had your surgery in the US you should be okay. Your surgeon will be nearby to help you out!

You mean with your Macy's Day Parade head. Um, no thanks. Even if it DOES make your waist look tiny.

Crap, you're RIGHT! And Section 8 which means a new house! And WIC, food stamps, AFDC... shoot, I could drink my 40-ounces all day long and watch cable TV and do NOTHING!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
