Thanks for the kudos, but feeling very discouraged right now... up a few pounds, down a few, back up a few! Been very hard this week cuz Chris & Kelllie & kids are in town.... brought dgs up for orientation at U of WA and picking up their oldest for a 2 wk visit at home. So last week met them down south to have dinner with them and Jodie & Al & kids. I felt awful, but wanted to go and see everyone. But... too much. And Jodie put a guilt trip on me for spending two weekends over in eastern WA w/Tracy & Jim. UH>>>> we went to the zoo with her & the kids the week before & were there that night she was complaining to me. The kids really tire me out... all three want to talk at the same time, etc. Not feeling good doesn't help.

Yesterday Chris & Justin & Earl went to an air show all day long, so I went shopping with the girls.. shopped all afternoon and ate food court chinese! chicken & rice... nothing fried, and I only ate half, but greasy and too much sodium, I'm sure.

HAVE to eat healthy!! So told them today that WE will fix dinner for everyone tomorrow... we're going to do baked chicken, baked potatoes... white & sweet, salad, and Earl wants to get corn on the cob. I bought all that salad stuff last week... shrimp, grilled chicken strips, lots of tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers, and only got to use it once. Was thinking of making myself a salad today when they called and wanted us to go to lunch!

Well, that's enough of my sad tales! Still feeling really lousy. Can't seem to shake this thing... coughing, etc. Congestion is so bad in the morning I go through about 1/2 box of kleenex I think trying to get my head clear. ... and a couple cups of hot coffee. Have no energy. When we weren't with the family today, I did nothing but sit in my chair and play solitaire on my computer! Never even read the paper. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to PT at noon, but if I don't feel a lot better, and if I'm still coughing,I'm not going to go again!

Whine, whine, whine, huh??!! Sorry! Love you all and reading your posts. I'm up to New Orleans, just let me know what time frame you are thinkiing of. BTW, weather here has been GREAT for the last several days!!

Phyl Hugs on the cold - Mucinex have you tried it - it will dry you up.. food choices are yours no matter what others are eating - I know it's hard cuz when I am out - it's difficult to make food choice that are good - but it is possible.

Well I bought this skinny cow candy yesterday - DON'T BUY it - it's comes in 120 cal packs - but you can't just eat one - LOL - so i was bad bad bad bad last night..

Phyl, I am so sorry you don't feel well. Nasty crud/cold/flu thing, they seem to take forever to get over. My Mom's residence has had a BUG outbreak there and they've been shut down to visitors (extra nursing staff etc) for 2 weeks... they are going crazy!

Imagine 70 Sr's with pooppy pants and throwing up... but not able to get to the Bathroom in time for either....

Kinda makes my day seem GREAT!!!! Hopefully, I get to go see her this week... we are supposed to play there on Wed evening.

Just came home fromt the gym, Mcdonalds(had their yogurt/fruit parfait 180 cals) and now got a load of laundry in the machine... its WAY hot here again today, so clothes will dry on the line FAST... love the way they smell!!!

ANd on to reading my book out on the deck... that's my plan for today.

Tomorrow, my sister comes and we do an overnight at Casino!!

Well Melissa is fine - talked to her about 3:30 - she had surgery at 8 was out by 9 - going to call her around 7:30 - her mom went on vacation - not even there for her DD - I sent flowers - making navy bean Soup for her - (taking ice with me on Friday) and all the other stuff I got for her.

Just talked to Melissa - she's doing great - walking and everything - dopey but OMG she's doing better than any other surgery she has had ... So Proud of her.. Just blended her cream of navy bean Soup - omg it came out good - going to have to make some for me ;0)

Thanks for the anniversary remembrance... yup 4 yrs wow, its flown by... feels nice to be back in the "saddle": of proper eating /exercising agin....

I am glad you like the "DITTY" I was worried it might sound korny or Greedy.... as you know these BARS you play in don't pay very well... so this might help... especially MARK that guy is out of another job (2nd since we've known him Jan 11) Oh my, I don't know how he does it... first job was on the line making BBQ's... he was good at it, but just missed one too many days, calling in Sick whatever... so they let him go.

Then he got a job as abricklayer, good pay, but kinda seasonal in Canada!!! anyways he only lasted there one month, then the owner said he was too slow and BAM... gone again!

I feel bad for him, mid 50's and still kinda drifting around.... where he is currently living, his Son's basement appt. is doing o.k. for him... but now his son wants him to move out.... emmm, don't know what behind that???

BUT, as long as he shows up for rehearsals, gigs and plays well, its none of my business.... but I think he thinks of Peter and me as friends and really hasn't anyone to unload on....EXCEPT he does have a new GF.... sheis very nice, got a GOOD job, her own business actually - she owns property.... real solid... I hope she rubs off on him.

Good Evening Gang

Well - I did it - I went and saw the Plastic Surgeon today - 8/8/11 getting the following - lifestyle lift (neck mid face) - upper/lower eyes done - cheek implants - skin laser-ed ... Will have nurse at the house w/me for the 1st 24 hrs - icing my face etc.. Doc said I will look 15 yrs younger ;0).. Figured I better spend some $$$ on me - before the kids get it all..

Janet, congrats!!! You earned it. We won't recognize you next time we see you! So when is the big day? I'd love to get rid of my gobbler neck. Unfortunately it is genetic and have it even when I am thin.

Candice, I like the ditty as well and hope Mark can grow up and be responsible. Some people take longer and some never get it figured out. I think Elyse is in the 'never figure it out' catagory. The BF isn't working and possibly will need back surgery (with what $$). Oh right, our taxes!

We had a nice rain shower last night with thunder storms. It was cosy to be snuggled up in bed watching the lightening and listening to the thunder.

Busy couple of days. Long story, but on Monday Mel, Andy, Cora and I drove to Minneapolis (6 hours) to bring a car to Luke and Nicole. They were in an accident a couple weeks ago and we brought their car here for Mel to do the bodywork for them--so now we brought it back and flew home. It was fun to watch Cora take her first airplane ride! But our flight was delayed, so by the time we got back into town it was late. Cora spent the night and all day yesterday with me instead of going to child care. She was really overstimulated, and had a major melt down yesterday so it was a bit of a challenge. Today levi's here, but he's pretty easy. Were going grocery shopping when he wakes up.

Hope you're feeling better, Phyl. Mel's been sick for the last 2 1/2 weeks too. Really nasty bug, but he won't help himself either. Just fights instead of tking it easy. I wish that man would learn to let go once in a while. He does himself no favors.
