Recommended Posts

I was bandeed on the 4th. and I have been trying to get in my Water too. I am not hungery at all, and its hard to get in the liquids. Im sleeping on both sides as of last night. I haven't been quite as tired and sleepy today as the past couple of days. my Doc said that He didnt see a hernia but I am now experiencing a since of welding up pain that comes and goes in my throat. just started to take prevacid and I sure hope it starts to work soon...LOL. all other pain is about gone!

I also was banded on the 4th with no complications. Staying within the program but I want to eat a cow ! :scared2:

3 shakes per day plus one mushie (i.e. cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, scrambled egg).

How's the walking going ??????

It is great to hear from everyone who was banded around the 4th, and to hear how they are doing. I am doing well, just like another bander said, "it gets better by the hour." Thankfully I have not had any nausea and my gas pains are getting better (thank goodness) :scared2:

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
