LOL - Yes, a bit like one. Fortunately all my gas is coming up as a belch, instead of the stinky alternative :blushing:

So question for those of you who have been banded... can any of you feel your port? I can mine, and I wasn't expecting this. I thought it was going to be deeper in. It's like my little buddy, and I keep touching it to see if it's real - hahaha. The other strange part is that part of my belly is numb, so I can put ice on my port site and not feel it... weird.

Other than that, every chance I get to walk, I do! it's making me feel better. I couldn't hardly stand for several hours after I awoke from surgery, that general anaesthesia kicked my hind end... that was worse than anything else for me. everybody reacts differently to that, instead of pain meds, I was asking for more anti-nausea meds (ok, some pain meds too) I was glad my insurance required an overnight stay, there is no way I'd have gone home feeling like I did.

You know that happen to me with bean Soup.. I felt awful. Have you been hungry and how are dealing with it?

Not really, since I added soft foods. I have been fine with three meals a day.

Wondering how Loveslady is doing, since we were banded on the 17th. First 2 days were great, but today I probably did not drink enough Water and felt kind of lousy. Water helped! Not hungry, but I sure would just like to lick a potato chip or piece of cheese. LOL!

Hope things are going well.

I'm fine. I felt like you yesterday. I contributed it to lack of water as well. I tried to cut back on pain meds but my body said no. So I'm back to a pill and a hall of generic vicodin. It makes me dizzy and sleepy so I'm barely up during the day and that's the reason I want off. I'm trying to prep for work monday. Are you back at work?

I kept asking my doc when the anaesthesia would wear off. She kept saying in just a little while. It made me feel impaired and without control of myself. thye were nice and kept assuring me.

Hi Michelle: I can feel my port the nurse at my doctors office showed me how. I have to sort of go in circular motions and it feels like a lump. The doctor needs to be able to find it to inject it. How obvious is it to you? I had to try and find it with them explaining how before I just poked around and couldn't feel. But if i apply sideways circular pressure I can now find it.

I can feel my port. In fact it is a little irritating to me.

I had a really bad, I mean really really bad headache from the anesthesia and had to stay one night also. I think it was for the better because I was so uncomfortable after my surgery.

Walking is great and if you have a pain in your left shoulder it is gas and the gas x strips work great for that.

I am allowed melted cheese on mushies. Two recipes they recommend....

ricotta cheese, Pasta sauce, and melted mozzarella

and refried Beans (fat free) with melted cheddar

Hi everyone - can we start using the sep 09 section for threads? this one has multiple topics hard to follow. It would be great if we all move over that way at least when everyone else is banded in Sep.

How is everyone feeling today? I was able to get down another Protein Shake and 1/2 cup Tomato Soup. I am trying to walk as much as possible.
