Hello everyone is anyone doing p90x?

I am down 112 lbs. am am tired with all my workouts, really bored I guess.

I have walk away the miles, biggest loser, the wave, the bow flex and I walk and jog. I have not exercised honestly in a month I was exercising two times a day 5 days a week for four months and then fell off the wagon and haven't in a month. I am still losing but I know I have to get back to working out.

So I was interested in this p90x thing, if anyone with the band is using it, my brother and cousin say its great but I dont know how I feel about it. Anyone who had tried it or heard anything about it please let me know.

Thanks,

Rae

Lots of people at my church are doing it and they LOVE it. They have seen amazing results in a short time and the routine is so varied, it's difficult to get bored.

I am going to start it this week; I just need to watch some of it first so that I'm prepared before I jump in. I really didn't know much about it until my husband mentioned that his Army class was doing some of it for their morning PT; after that I did some research on it. I'm not in the best shape now, so I figure I may have to do my own version of p90x "lite" the first time around, then do the series again when I'm built up. That's the plan for now, but we'll see how it goes!

I just bought this a week ago and I'm soooo motivated. Thing is, I hurt my knee playing tennis a few days ago and I've been laid up. lame.

Anyway, I've heard nothing but great things about it, so I'm really excited to start!!

My question about P90X is the diet plan. Does anyone know how it works with the band? I have talked to many people who had great results from it, and I am nearing the end of my weight loss goal, and now want to adjust it to go about 25 pounds lower than that original goal, I was thinking this would be a great way to do it. The last 30 pounds or so is SO hard!!! But I am just not sure how the diet plan with the program will work with the band. Everyone I have talked to that has done it are not people with the band, and they say that the diet plan is very integral with the program, and really is about 70% of the overall program.

Thanks for any help that can be offered... and keep up the good work all!

I have heard GREAT things about P90X --- you CAN get bored and unmotivated with any video type thing -

So if you are able to get a group of people together to do it the same time and same days....maybe a church group or at a school (parents in the evening), etc......

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
