Rocky_Mountain_Mama 25 Posted August 3, 2009 that this will get better. I had my surgery on Friday and the gas pains are really tough. I'm walking, I'm taking deep breaths but neither of those seems to have made much of a dent in actually getting rid of the pain. I just sent hubby out for some gas-x strips so hopefully that will help. It just feels like I have a giant air bubble in my chest and it hurts! I'm also starting to get a headache. The good news is I have zero interest in food. I can sip fluids, but that's it and I'm fine with that now. I just really need to hear that this all sounds typical and it will pass soon. Thanks! RestlessMonkey 7 Posted August 3, 2009 It's typical and it will pass! Make SURE you get your fluids in, though. That's very very important.
knrpick 0 Posted August 3, 2009 I took 3 strips at a time! Yes it's normal, but I found taking extra strips REALLY, REALLY helped! That first day, I walked on my treadmill, it was 1 mph, and I felt it was too fast, but I did it. Even just walk around your house really helps! Hang in there, it does get better!
