Nessa38 0 Posted August 8, 2009 About 10 years (and another 50 pounds less) The lights BLARED on. She GLARED at me. She said (imagine the accent please...it took the sting out) Your mind is like a RESTLESS MONKEY....Leaping from limb to limb. You need to be still!!! Oh no way. I laughed until I almost wet myself. Loved your story Restless... My first yoga experience was funny too. I think all yoga instructors have an accent.... She pin pointed my sis n law out because we were the "big" girls in the class. Sis is a lot like you laughs at everything and together we are TROUBLE. Needless to say our little cute instructor got after us too. Must be their nature. lol
onikenbai 33 Posted August 12, 2009 Mine comes from the dance done in the small Japanese town where I lived. It means devil sword dance. Considering it's done only in this one small area of Japan, it's pretty unlikely that anybody from the English world has heard of it or has already used it. I usually have a Japanese devil mask avitar to go with it but it's rather off-putting so I went with Domo-kun as he's not quite so scary.

Fanny Adams 7 Posted August 17, 2009 plain = unadorned, no frills, regular, uninteresting, common. Hehe - trying to disguise your nature with that handle, eh? Mine was a character name in an online adventure game that I used to play (Ultima Online). I was sitting in front of the computer, trying desperately to come up with a new name (I'm really bad at thinking of names!) and remarked to a friend "Damn, I can think of sweet FA!", (meaning "f**k all"). He instantly recommended that I name my character Fanny Adams, which is polite slang here in Aus for "f**k all". The name rang a bell and I looked up the meaning - apparently the original Fanny Adams was a little girl who was murdered in the woods in the late 1800's. This fit in beautifully with the story line of the game, so Fanny Adams was born. I've had that user name in every online forum for the last 7 years now, and I answer to "Fanny" in real life, as easily as I do to my actual name (Sue). ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted August 17, 2009 ParrotheadCathy .... well, I'm a Jimmy Buffett fan. But, of course, I've taken it to a higher level. I am a member of the Atlanta Parrot Head Club (Atlanta PHC is the very first ever official parrot head club, founded in 1989), a past board member, and I am a Regional Coordinator for the SE Region of Parrot Heads in Paradise, which is the "parent organization". Yes, we do know how to party ... but we also "party with a purpose" .... For example, last year (2008) Parrot Head Clubs raised over $3.1 Million and volunteered 175,000 Volunteer Hours. Obviously, I am proud of our efforts! Cathy, well, that part's easy ... my name is Catherine but absolutely NOBODY calls me that. My Dad never even called me "Cathy" but always called me "Katy".
