It's good that you called your doctor, you can't be too careful. I think once you get to where you can get an ample amount of liquids in you, you will feel much better.

Let me know what he tells you.

If he wants you to have Protein, try one of the clear Protein Drinks if you can't handle the regular ones. I used the New Whey protein bullets, but some doctors don't like them. Lots of people use Isopure.< /p>

I like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury (unjury.com) unflavored. I mix it with skim milk and sugar free carnation instant Breakfast. It's thin enough to go down even when I'm tight and packs about 35 grams of Protein.

You should be trying to get at least 60 grams a day.

Hope you're feeling better today.

Please don't be scared. I live away from my hometown for work and I know what you mean about having friends or a person nearby that is going through the same thing as you. I started looking and posting videos on YTube and that helps me. I know that it is not for everyone but it was easy for me to meet others that are going through the same experience. I've also found this site helpful. If you have questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you all the best.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
