lotusflwr 0 Posted July 28, 2009 I hear lots of people talking about fitday.com, and it is great I've used it many times before. However, if you happen to have a I-phone there is an application called Lose It. It' pretty good and I always have my phone with me to update what I'm putting in my mouth. It even tracks the nutritional info like fit day and allows you to set goals. I bought it a while back I think it was .99 cents but it may have been a little more. Well worth it! Bunz1969 4 Posted July 28, 2009 I also use Lose It! for the iPhone and it's ok. The only thing I don't really like is that they need to update their food database, it's amazing how many national brand foods aren't in there or they are wrong! It's a very simple program, which I like. Fit Day was somewhat overwhelming to me with all the information.
formerfatchick 1 Posted July 29, 2009 Downloaded the app ! it's great but I agree that they do need to update the food database and btw now it's a free download. Thanks for the tip !
tripletmomma2000 3 Posted July 30, 2009 I use Lose It as well....... generally, when it comes to foods, I just use "create new food" so I can control what the nutritional values are. Agreed...... the database is lacking. I can't believe it doesn't have popcicles of ANY kind in it! Sheesh!
abbypoo 0 Posted July 30, 2009 I used to use Lose It when I was into calorie-counting, but I haven't used it in quite a few months. I think I will start using it again after my surgery!
Bunz1969 4 Posted July 30, 2009 I can't believe it doesn't have popcicles of ANY kind in it! Sheesh! How weird is that? Mine had 3 or 4 different versions of SF popcicles, but all the nutritional values were wrong. I agree with just creating our own.
abbypoo 0 Posted July 30, 2009 If you want a big and accurate database for counting your calories and nutritional information, I suggest going to Calorie Counter Database - Free Online Diet Program If that link doesn't work, just google "calorie count" and it will come right up. This is BY FAR the best and most accurate database I have seen, and it's free! I even took a course in Nutrition last semester and the software I had to purchase for the class was not even half as good as this website!
lotusflwr 0 Posted July 31, 2009 I found another application called 8 glasses a day. I helps you track your water! Simplistic but it works.
