ThinAli 0 Posted July 30, 2009 I felt the same way except it was on monday! But as everything went and I go the IV (which ask for them to use liticain didn't know they were doing it!) And all the crap they tell you about what could go wrong. I kind of didn't listen since everyone had told me the same thing. When the drug doctor came in he asked if I had any requests I said all I ask is to be kept asleep and I was. Very little pain only around the port site...I only had one incision and that is next to my bellybutton. The only weird/odd thing is the amount of burps I have had I expected gas but not burps. And I have already lost 4 more pounds! :juggle:
THEBIGGESTLOSER427 0 Posted July 31, 2009 Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your story. You have helped me tremendously by giving these details. I have had all the consults except the nutritional consult. I will have that tomorrow and my packet will go to the corporate office (true results) and then to the insurance company. My tentative date is scheduled for 8/28 if approval occurs within two weeks or less. Soon i will start the Protein diet and then it will begin to sink in that i am about to change my life forever...it is so exciting but also i become apprehensive on other days. Anyway thanks again! mgmagnolia 1 Posted July 31, 2009 Biggest Loser you are so welcome! Waiting was the worst part of this and ThinAli the burping is an experience you are right about that! It's a scary thing. Not only is surgery scary but starting a whole new life is scary too. My friend Ray, who had gastric bypass 3 years ago, told me that Monday was my new birthday. And he's right it was like a new birthday. Just take a day at a time. It's hard to get away from that stress I know. I am so relieved that it's over now. And you will be too. ariesbelieve 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi all, I got banded on 10/20.. My pain level postop was a 7.. Lots of back pain due to the gas they fill you with. 2 days later starting to feel better.. Gas-X strips, pain meds and heating pad have done wonders. Good luck everyone!
